Your New Role:
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Senior Manager is responsible operationalising Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) workforce and advancing strategic efforts for employees across multiple business areas and offices in the APAC region
Reporting to the DEI Director, APAC, this role his role will engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, to design and deliver programs that support global and India specific diversity activities and goals. By embedding a systems change approach to DEI at WBD, this role will focus on recruitment, retention, progression, performance management, leadership development and employee engagement.
Your Role Accountabilities:
- Work with the Regional DEI leader to implement the local DEI approach for the region in accordance with global strategy.
- Develop strong working relationships, partner and collaborate with local leadership and across all India offices. Provide DEI consulting and support services to various business units including Production.
- Support the development and act as a strategic advisor to regional chapters of the WBD Business Resource Groups (BRG) to enable them to operate successfully in alignment with the DEI strategy. This will also include budget governance.
- Provide end to end project management support on the activation of local DEI programmatic efforts identified by both Global and Regional leads e.g., Integration, data expansion.
- Partner with Learning & Development and/or other internal departments to organise, schedule and deliver DEI initiatives to build leadership capability and advance talent within local budgets. e.g., facilitate training programs and inclusive conversations etc. As required, work with local vendors and external facilitators.
- Develop, oversee and support the rollout of activity for the APAC Diversity Calendar including the planning and execution of DEI activity across five offices in India (virtual and physical).
- Collaborate with the People and culture team to ensure effective DEI practices are embedded into every phase of the talent and development lifecycles, to support the development of diverse talent.
- Contribute to the creation of thought leadership and create a body of centralised resources for use across our workforce and creative efforts.
- Collaborate and partner closely with the People and Culture and Talent Acquisitions team to ensure effective DEI practices are embedded into every phase of the talent and development lifecycles to advance belonging and inclusion for our people.
- Identify and take ownership of opportunities that support external WBD DEI brand such as the completion of benchmarks, awards, sponsorships etc.
- Conduct regular DEI analysis of internal activity and provide manager with regular impact updates and ROI summary of budget spend. Ensure a strong understanding of metrics.Identify and establish key metrics to assess and measure results and progress of DEI initiatives as well as progress against key commitments and the broader DEI strategy.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with local external DEI vendors, organisations etc.
- Stay up to date with local regulatory requirements to ensure informed and localised plans.
- Drive, support and review APAC DEI communications by closely partnering with Corporate Communications.
- Develop periodic DEI reports and other administrative support for region.
- Provide ongoing support to the wider Global DEI team on ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 + years professional work experience in similar role.
- Have experience in navigating a cross border/cross cultural organisation.
- Experience facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions.
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders at different seniority levels.
- Experience managing projects from end to end.
- Strong and inclusive communication skills with the ability to engage different audiences.
- Proven track record of success developing, facilitating and scaling DEI learning solutions with localised approach to materials that reflect nuances informed by a varying business, countries and cultures
- Self-motivated, understands the importance of confidentiality, effective time and project management, flexibility.
- Ability to navigate a new team and build relationships across the organisation in a complex matrixed environment to i *** uence change.
- Great communicator who can build trust and strong working relationships with internal and external partners and vendors.
- Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of current DEI needs in the sector.
- Ability to multi-task and manage and execute multiple projects with varying deadlines.
