Job Description

The Technical Manager provides support for *** News, MS *** , and digital. This role will be responsible for managing the crew and production team to execute shows, as well as day-to-day operations.

• Oversee any or all *** Universal Studio and Control room production, assuring performance standards
• Work closely with scheduling to ensure proper crew assignments
• Work closely with *** Traffic Control, the Network News Desk and bookers to ensure successful execution of LIVE remotes into daily programming
• Liaise with *** U operations & executive leadership
• Oversee facilities, IT, and maintenance services for assigned control room and studio during On-air operations
• Responsible for customer relationships within *** brands.
• Must balance creative demands of various properties with outstanding operational management skills
• Develop & motivate crews, creating standards and expectations for excellence in broadcasting
• Execute business strategies and cost initiatives while maintaining day to day operations
• Manage demands during breaking & unplanned news events
• Implement unified operational strategy across *** U show units
• Work in compliance with Integrity, Health and Safety Policies, and *** News Standards and Practices
• On occasion, plan and execute technical support for *** News remotes worldwide

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in live, studio television production
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a News environment
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering support and operational experience in broadcast studio and production control room
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with field/remote production processes and equipment (including satellite/telco and communications)
• Must have proficient computer skills, including Apple, Outlook, MS Word, Excel
• Experience in broadcast television
• Strong on-air operations and technical background
• Ability to work all shifts including days, overnights, weekends and holidays
• Deep working knowledge with control room and studio technology
• Demonstrated management experience and customer focused

Post Production Manager, Series

The Post Production Manager for Series is responsible for the implementation of Sony Picture Animation's Editorial and Post Production agenda across all series projects. This position requires strong managerial skills and a detailed understanding of Post Production in television/streaming animation.

*** Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. Responsibilities

• Directly oversee and manage all Post Production Management personnel for series, including Post Production Supervisors and Post Production Coordinators
• Work with VP and Director of Post to manage SPA series job postings for Editorial and Post, source and review candidates, and facilitate interviews as recommended
• Employ Creative Editors & Editorial teams across all shows
• Actively collaborate with Post Executives to design and implement departmental standards, guidelines, methodologies, work flows, and best practices for current and upcoming series
• Work hands-on with productions during animatic production, assisting the production teams in achieving their schedule and deliverables
• Develop schedules and budget needs for a constantly evolving environment
• Stay informed of Production, VFX, and Post Production best practices across departments on current productions
• Liaise with Line Producer on any changes that are relevant to the budget
• Develop and maintain business relationships with ADR, sound, DI, QC, mastering, and archiving vendors as needed
• Manage, recommend, and drive securing relevant bids for series Post work, including maintaining an evolving Post vendor database
• Act as a liaison *** ween SPA and our distributors ( *** , *** , Max, etc.) to cover topics like distribution, international post, mastering, home entertainment, archiving, etc.
• Be the Post Production point person who can drive series post and archiving deliverables to conclusion, even after production staff has rolled off
• Balance the staffing needs of current and emerging shows
• Assist Development and Marketing departments when they are in need of Editors for one-off projects related to the series in development or production
• Partner with Production and Post executives to implement procedures for emerging ***
• Keep VP and Director of Post informed of pertinent updates for each series as they evolve

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years Production Management experience in a television or streaming animation environment
• Must be able to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities and daily time constraints
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Should have a working knowledge of NLE systems, like Avid Systems, Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve, and other Adobe applications
• Must have both broad and specific knowledge of the many tools and software used in Production and Post
• Should be able to work within Google apps, Microsoft Office apps, and budgeting software

The anticipated base salary for this position is $90,000 to $115,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.

Ring of Honor Wrestling (ROH) has a new and exciting opportunity for a Production Manager. In this role, your main goal will be to provide live and post support to the ROH Director of Production for all ROH live events and post production projects, including but not limited to TV, Marketing, Promotions, and social and special projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the director of production and producers as directed
• Work with the director of production and crewing manager to determine and book live crew and travel
• Coordinate and maintain live production schedules and calendars
• Coordinate rentals and deliver all necessary equipment to complete live even productions
• Provide quality control for all live events
• Maintain live event equipment and ensure that all hardware and software are up to date

Job Skills and Requirements:

• Experience in managing crew, live events, and post edit processes
• Familiarity with camera and streaming equipment, as well as generators, boom lifts, and general staging assets
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to travel with live event shows
• The flexibility to work varying shifts

Experience:

• At least 3 years of managerial experience with live events and post editing
• Knowledge of and experience using AVID Interplay and Masstech archiving systems
