Asset Photographer is responsible for the set up and controlling of studio lighting equipment. He/she maintains and moves the lighting and equipment from one scene to another in order to create the visual effect desired by the director. Ac assist in the set up, operation and maintenance of studio cameras and equipment on a Stop Motion animated feature film, maintaining the camera and related equipment, in tracking the completed shots and sequences, and in moving equipment from one stage to another

As a member of the effects crew I worked extensively producing props, set dressings, and makeup appliances as well as having a hand in molding and casting the prop mermaids. Makeup and prosthetics were produced out of silicon for makeup application such as battle wounds, facial modification, an amputations. Bones, props, and set dressings, were produced mainly out of resins. I second as a continuity photographer as well documenting the makeup application process to record the amount of time taken for each application, to assure consistency from scene to scene, and to receive approval from Disney for each makeup design.

Assistant in the art department casting hundreds of alien bodies out of foam latex and several out of silicon for an autopsy scene, 50ft ropes were treated with tinted silicone to act as the aliens tentacles and set dressing. I had a short hand as puppeteer for the autopsy scene uncredited. Towards the end of the film I was approached to help photograph continuity for the head of the makeup department
