MUST WORK AS A LOCAL IN MARYLAND
• Serve as primary manager overseeing all financial, logistical, legal and operational concerns for assigned project, including troubleshooting and scheduling issues for all aspects of pre-production, production and post production
• Work closely with internal partners such as EPs, Director of Production, Series Producers, APs, Post Supervisor, and Post Manager to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule
• Monitor and oversee all aspects of the legal review including cuts and emails to and from production personnel and attorney as well as legal compliance including, but not limited to, blurring and stock footage/stills/effects/music licenses
• Oversee the costs, schedule and network technical compliance for all background checks, shooting formats, camera/equipment requirements, final finishing and tape delivery
• Compile and complete monthly cost reports and any other financial tracking as required by company
• Oversee costs and approve all invoices for your related production; analyze and track costs and P&L with project budget trackers, work closely with accounting department to rectify any issues on a monthly basis
• Process, code and approve all expense reports, cash advances, Amex receipts and invoices
• Oversee deliverables preparation, delivery to network and compliance
• Identify, interview, secure and contract with all in-house and field production personnel
for your assigned projects
• Prepare all contracts, compile start up paperwork and time trackers for in-house, field
production and post personnel for your assigned projects
• Provide all new hires on your assigned projects (i.e., producers, editors and APs, etc.)
with style guide and program examples for current project and ensure all hires are fully
up to speed on project details as well as pertinent Sirens Media best practices
• Work closely with Post team on workflows to ensure all elements are ready for edit,
including editor, online editor, edit room availability, music, field footage, stock
footage/stills and other acquired materials
• Help Equipment Manager liaise with DP on equipment needs as well as negotiation of
rates and booking all field equipment including camera package, lighting, grip, audio and
related equipment
• Schedule narrator, narration session and any other final finishing needs and oversee all
talent/sound studio negotiations /contracts and/or releases
• Negotiate rates and review and approve contracts for all transcription, graphics, stock
footage/stills and music licensing needs
• Coordinate graphics schedule and delivery to network for technical compliance
• Keep your supervisor and network up-to-date on program progress and alert them to any
budgetary or scheduling changes
• Manage project financials, schedules, milestones, shoot schedules, equipment and any
other production needs
• Flag any issues affecting budget, legal compliance, scheduling or any other inconsistent
procedure different then the companies standard procedure to Director of Production
• Any other duties as requested by company that are consistent with the position of
production manager in field of documentary production
