Award-winning entertainment company located in North Hollywood is seeking a tech-savvy Post Production Supervisor who has experience working with a large team and organizing schedules and priorities for multiple marketing campaigns simultaneously. Must be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented. The job entails shepherding projects all the way from initial start to final delivery. Ideal candidate has prior Post Production Coordinator and Supervisor experience in marketing, content or related types of work.
Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain updated schedule of all active projects in Post, tracking personnel, edit bays, milestones, deliverables, etc.
• Work with Producers on hiring and assigning work to editors, AEs, and loggers
• At the start of a project, assess and plan for project by talking with the Producers and Head of Post to determine approximate schedule and expected needs for editors, AEs, footage ingest, posting, logging, etc.; also confirm overall Post workflow, and address any special requirements
• Ensure that all footage and assets for each of your assigned projects is properly backed up, labeled ingest, posted to for review, transcribed, script synced, grouped and distributed to editors on expected timetable
• Maintain and set order of AE priority list and Online to-do list on a daily basis, following up as needed
• Schedule and book all file conversions and dub requests (including master deliverables) and for AE and Vault requests, as necessary
• Coordinate and assign AE requests during editorial including stringouts, pulls, EDLs, shot logs etc.
• Cooperate with the Design department to facilitate creation, hand off and ingest of all final graphics deliverables — title cards, greenscreen comps, lower thirds, etc.
• Work with Client specs to generate list of deliverable requirements
• Work with Producers and the rest of the Post Team to set Online schedules (including prep, color-correction, mix, and QC) to ensure on-time delivery of all required finished media
• Create master records and tape labels for all deliverable (tape or file)
• Track final deliverables checklist for each episode, check and pack physical deliverables, draft and send email to client once delivery is out the door
• Review and approve weekly reports and costs to ensure that the project time and billing is accurate
• Schedule runs and courier requests as needed
• Work with Post Coordinator and Head of Post to coordinate bay and equipment needs, including rentals with necessary
• Facilitate creation of FTP accounts and post cuts to FTP for clients throughout editorial
• After a project wraps, confirm all masters for internal archives and secure permission to remove active media from any applicable servers
• Communicate clearly and accurately at all times, especially when things are most hectic and busy
• Daily troubleshooting and problem solving for last minute schedule changes and technical issues
• Ensuring adherence to MPAA and broadcast rules & regulations
• Technical wherewithal for all HD and 4K post workflows
Qualifications:
• A background or education in Film, Television, Post Production, Marketing, Advertising or related field is preferred
• Must be Mac proficient with a working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Avid workflows is preferred
• Must have previous Post Production experience as both Coordinator and Supervisor
• Must be able to communicate deadlines
• Must be able to understand budget parameters
• Must be capable of adapting to new workflows and technologies
• Must be proactive in handling scheduling needs
• Must cooperate with team to increase department efficiencies
