The Global Security Control Center (GSCC) is *** 's premier operations center, responsible for supporting emergency and non-emergency events; researching global affairs; and managing incoming call mitigation, event dispatching, and event-driven global notification services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In an emergency, the GSCC directs and coordinates *** enterprise assistance and support by providing advisory assistance for the performance of crucial operational services, the issuance of warnings of risks and hazards, dissemination of employee information, as well as serving as the central communication intake point for Global Security. The GSCC is a centralized hub, which leverages technology to quickly communicate with Employees and Cast Members about emergencies at work and near their home. The GSCC partners with other Global Security teams worldwide to identify and quickly communicate any potential risks. The team also develops and enhances operational security processes and platforms, standardizes communications center products, and provides enterprise-wide training. The GSCC has responsibility for the following:

- Travel Security Management

Responsibilities of the Role:
The Director, Global Security Control Center (GSCC) is responsible for leading a diverse and dynamic team in operating this 24/7 year -round center to monitor, triage, and operate as a centralized operations center during routine and emergency incidents that have the potential to impact TWDC Employees and Cast Members, as well as the Company's assets and operations. The Director oversees and drives the refinement and evolution of the architecture - practices and procedures; new methodologies, tools and technologies; strategic internal and external partnerships; and vendor relationships - keeping an eye on both the fine details and the big picture. The Director undertakes the following:
- Lead Three Teams in Executing the 24/7 GSCC Operations - Lead and manage three Senior Managers -- Strategic Operations, Enterprise Programs and Business Operations - in staffing and executing a broad range of products, services and programs. Provide minimal day-to-day direction to these Senior Managers, while building their people leadership skills, knowledge of the business, and professional growth. Establish, with these three Senior Managers, an effective GSCC leadership team.
- Build a Strong Team Culture -- Given the demands of working in a 24/7 operations center, ensuring a healthy and engaging work environment is critical to building a strong team culture. The Director instills a sense of pride in the work, coupled with a relentless focus on excellence and empowerment. The Director plays a critical role in both internal and external relationships, working across Global Security, with key partners and clients within *** , and outside of the organization to continue to enhance GSCC's impact, through excellent service, responsiveness, innovation, insight, and collaboration.
- Continuously Improve & Strengthen Control & Operations Centers Architecture - The Director has a primary governance role for TWDC Control & Operations Centers worldwide. As such, the Director will collaboratively lead the implementation and coordination of the upcoming Control & Operations Centers framework, as well as oversee progress of the high-level initiatives underway to advance the current architecture, ensuring that Global Security Control & Operations Centers are equipped to meet the challenges of our complex security environment with enhanced agility, intentionality, and precision.
- Manage Team Resources - Effectively manage the team budget, including vendor payments, as well as periodic assessment of vendor and contractor ROI. Understand talent/HR processes in order to attract, retain, and grow this diverse team talent. With a focus on stewardship, balance the desire for cutting-edge tools and technology with prudent approaches.
- Customer, Partner & Community Outreach - Craft and execute a thoughtful, data-informed plan for establishing an effective feedback loop from both customers and partners to monitor the GSCC's im *** te and long-term value to the Company. Via external outreach, bring back best practices and lessons learned for the benefit of the GSCC, as well as for the network of Global Security's Control & Operations Centers. Lead After-Action assessments, as required, with objectivity and an eye toward continuous improvement.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position.
- 10-15 years of experience in increasing responsibility within private sector corporate security or a related public sector organization, including 7 years of managerial experience.
- Experience leading diverse teams and coaching/mentoring direct reports.
- Track record of effectively and im *** tely leading the response to unexpected incidents and crises, reprioritizing tasks and focus, and communicating with accurate information and guidance.
- Experience working with and/or leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience driving successful organizational and procedure change, across more than one team.
- Superior interpersonal skills; an ability to work with a diverse range of customers, partners, colleagues from entry-to-executive level.
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and prioritization skills, coupled with an ability to incorporate data into decision-making.
- Sophisticated ability to lead through i *** uence for maximum impact, coupled with a bias for collaboration. In addition, an ability to lead effectively under pressure (incidents, crises, tight deadlines, etc.).
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills, including an ability to distill and convey complex information to a range of audiences. Ability to teach how to construct compelling stories.
- Strong comprehension of operational processes and systems, including physical security systems and security best practices, as well as program/project management best practices.
Preferred Hiring Requirements:
- Criminology, International Studies, Communications
- Experience in both corporate security and the public security sector.
- Experience leading tactical and operational security communications units
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $163,500.00 to $219,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
