SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The RTR Accounting Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Studio Controllership and play an integral role in the day-to-day support of the General Ledger Management related to worldwide licensing operations using various systems (Oracle, LMSi, SAP and Tableau) and advanced Excel worksheets. Duties include general ledger stewardship for assigned territories/agents, month end closing, theme park accounting, consolidation of actual results and preparation of statements and analysis (including F/X Analysis & Revaluations). Prepare, compile, review and respond to audit requests from our Participations Group and Internal and External Auditors including the international statutory audits. This role will also be responsible for working closely and reviewing and providing guidance to our shared services team in India (SDC). There is a great opportunity to incorporate process improvements and standardization of processes and support the Technology Upgrade program in partnership with the Business Unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Close

Provide support for month end close activities including: trial balance review, journal entry adjustments, proper posting of revenues, system reconciliation, AR aging analysis and other related GL account analysis.
Analyze and review financials on a global business or process level to ensure a consistent global approach.
Use independent judgment to prepare journal entries that impact the Company's financial statements.
In-depth knowledge of accounting rules to properly interpret and determine applicable accounting treatment.
Ensure GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) are implemented and adhered to for respective BU.
Support in the strategic direction for the process (e.g., revenue, reserves, reporting, etc.) and help drive forward with execution of standardization and improvements.
Responsible for establishing and ensuring timeliness of overall monthly close activities and accuracy of close processes.
Quarterly Deliverables to Consolidation Financial Reporting Team pertaining to Footnotes, Balance Sheet Analysis & Supplementals
Monthly AR Securitization Reporting involving collection data and performing analysis prior to submitting files to consolidation group.
Royalty Accounting.

Cross-Group Interaction

Interact and maintain the highest level of customer ser *** with Business Unit operations and 3rd parties (licensees, auditors, etc.) who rely on the accuracy and timeliness of the information provided.
Coordinate & review deliverables with SDC team and confirm all items are done in a timely manner meanwhile managing expectations

Third Party Reporting & Audit Support

Prepare statements that support reporting obligations for third party representation related to: assigned titles, Name & Likeness, Separated Rights and any adhoc participation analyses required that supports third party reporting obligations.
Support all constituents performing audit activities surrounding **** processes (Financial Statement Audits, Statutory Audits, FCRA Audits & Tax Audit-Related requests.
Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley cycle documentation, audit testing, identify areas of control risk and design and recommend mitigating control procedures.

Financial Systems Support & Other System Enhancement Related Activities

Assist in the enhancements/testing of systems to support the day- to-day transactions of GL management and to improve financial operations.
Assist with UAT Testing and work closely with BU Global Ops Team

Other Special Projects, Training SDC Team and Ad Hoc Requests

Provide training to internal and SDC on various topics
Identify and recommend improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies in the organization.
Assist in Ad Hoc projects for Senior Management.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Work Experience

6+ years previous work experience in an accounting or finance field.
2-3 years prior management experience required.
Entertainment industry experience a plus.
Must be able to work reasonable overtime, if necessary and work Burbank, CA Time zone as needed
Must be able to provide guidance to the offshore CAPGEMINI team

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
CPA or local equivalent of Certified Accountant preferred

What You Will Do

Responsible for show set design up to the level of a "gated park" including build strategy and implementation of same in the field.
Assist production designers and dimensional designer in coordinating models with drawings, participate in researching applicable materials and construction techniques, and support mock-ups and presentations.
The designer advises and assists staff to build Show Set documents following company standards and guidelines.
Track progress of work and report to upper management.
Supervision of vendor interfaces and work progress in outside shops and job sites will also be required.
Provide technical, managerial, and artistic leadership on projects is critical while also developing and participating in functional department initiatives.
Management of complex negotiations across diverse stakeholder groups is essential to this role.
Lead others on how to execute against deliverables as related to show set design.
Direct and assist staff to create Show Set contract documents and support the Manager regarding resources and staffing. Role includes presenting updates to senior executives and leadership of others more than 50% of the time.
Supervise multiple show set teams during design and installation crews in the field and will be the single point of contact on assignments.

Basic Qualifications/You Will Have

Established career in the fields of Scenic Design with current practice in Film, Theater or Theme Park Industry.
Minimum of 10 years working on related work with *** Imagineering or equivalent.

The Sr. Design Manager is responsible for the Art Direction and design, of presentation materials. This includes the managing the project and its deliverables as well as visual problem solving to help our partners tell the most compelling story. Your New Role

*** Discovery seeks a smart, creative, hyper-organized sports enthusiast to join our Commercial Strategy team as a Manager. This individual will manage the positioning strategy and sales packaging for key sports tentpoles, while proactively identifying new revenue-driving opportunities. Your Role Accountabilities

Develop and implement revenue-focused initiatives to drive profitability across all of our *** Sports properties, brands, and linear, digital, and social platforms.
Lead market positioning strategy and tentpole packaging around key sports calendar and cultural moments.
Oversee operationalization of go-to-market process, while seeking to consistently identify efficiencies.
Act as liaison with our analytics, content production, content programming, and sales teams to maximize efficiencies and streamline communication/feedback loops.
Spearhead best-in-class cross-property support ("Fusion") across US Nets, Streaming, and Theatrical to ensure equitable promotion of prioritized IP across our league properties and app/social inventory.
Act as the Sport/league expert, in tandem with the Consumer Marketing lead, to garner cross-property support ("Fusion") and leverage the breadth of the WBD ecosystem to bolster key Sports tentpoles.
Maintain diligent tracking of campaign outputs and leverage data to inform future cross-functional promo and/or revenue-driving initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in integrated marketing / strategy.
Excellent project management skills (detail-oriented); ability to move multiple proactive initiatives forward and manage varying reactive deliverables simultaneously.
Keen eye for process efficiencies with ability to leverage software - from custom spreadsheets to third party platforms - to bolster efforts.
Proven ability to develop best-in-class sponsorship opportunities across social and digital (linear and/or streaming is a bonus).

This is a Lead Technical Program Manager position within the DE&E Technology: Business Operations - Global Program Management organization. The Lead Technical Program Manager will focus on the planning and execution of programs in the Apple & Android organization inside the Global Program Management business unit.
