Job Description

Select, assign, write, and organize news stories. Write headlines, teases, and reporter lead-ins
Write new scripts, promotional teasers, headlines and topicals.
Contribute story ideas, participate in daily coverage decisions and editorial meetings.
Assist in the overall production, content, and elements of each newscast.
Collaborate with news producers, managers and photographers across the group to conceptualize, write, edit, and produce *** news specials and packages based on either breaking or pre-planned stories
Communicate with news producers, assignment editors and managers across the division regarding local story development, progress in the field and/or breaking news stories

Qualifications

In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress

The **** 6 internship program provides college students interested in journalism and communications, as well as sales and marketing, a unique opportunity. All positions are for college credit only, up to 16 hours per week, and usually last 8 to 12 weeks.

Internships are unpaid and all interns must provide a letter from their academic advisor certifying they are a junior or senior and will be receiving academic credit for participation in and the completion of their internship. Your application will not be considered without this documentation.

Requirements:

Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in Events Management, Marketing, Communications, *** , or a related field
Knowledge or interest in event production or event management-related fields
Interest or fan mentality for *** , *** , Star Wars and Marvel
Self-starter who needs minimal supervision in motivating himself/herself, always looking for opportunities to contribute to our campaigns and overall projects
Ability to adapt quickly to a constantly evolving organisation, and to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Ability to prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations
Strategic thinker with good communication skills
Demonstrated strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated strong Guest Ser *** skills
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
Creative mindset with the ability to leverage data to develop strategy/decisions
Proficient in MS Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent command of written and spoken English
