As a Senior Controls Engineer, you are responsible for all control system details of a project from fleshing out scope to design, installation, documentation close-out, and training of these systems. You will be reporting to the Manager - Scientific Systems Ride.

What You Will Do- Develop project scope as dictated by customer needs and as constrained by the capital program.
- Interview stakeholders to detail project requirements and translate high-level requirements into technical direction.
- Write and review PLC software and develop test plans for validation.
- Design hardware systems centered on industrial components (processors, I/O, architecture, wiring, HMI).
- Lead technical craft and other engineers when field testing.
- Assist in support of system failures exceeding the normal scope of maintenance.
- Perform ride system hazard analyses, including fault tree analysis and FMEA.
- Analyze the root-cause of failures and an ability to translate these failures to the system level.
- Adhere to a strict safety systems change process.
- Lead system, electrical, and software design reviews.
- Be involved in field testing and may demand a flexible working schedule that accommodates the needs of the Resort-including some on-call support and off-shift testing activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills- 5 years in an engineering role designing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting industrial control equipment.
- Knowledge of Safety PLCs and "Safety" industrial controls.
- Experience managing technical teams.
- Previous experience in Theme Park Industry.
- Previous experience in Hazard Analysis, Fault Trees and FMEA.
- Experience with multiple programming levels-both at the high-level as well as low-level.
Preferred Qualifications- Understanding of the National Electrical Code, Electrical Workplace Safety, UL 508A.
- Understanding of facility electrical design requirements.
- California Professional Registration or willingness to achieve same.
EducationRequired educationBachelor of Science, from an A *** accredited engineering program, in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred educationMaster of Science in a technical discipline, Master of Business Administration or equivalent.
Additional InformationBenefits and PerksThe hiring range for this position in California is $112,000 to $145,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
