*** Live Entertainment's Costuming team is seeking applicants for the position of Area Manager-Costume Production. This is a leadership role responsible for salaried, hourly union and hourly non-union cast with specialized skills in garment manufacturing. This role will be instrumental in providing guidance and feedback in a way that promotes development and inclusion. The Area Manager-Costume Production will be responsible for garment estimation, resource planning and workflow for multiple teams to achieve on time and on budget product delivery.
This is a full-time role and reports to the Manager-Costume Production & Sustainment.
You Will:
- Provide daily leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team of direct reports, including ensuring team receives accurate training, and they understand their role and how to perform it properly
- Lead Teams that meets or exceeds the expectations of Partners/Guests, ensuring a consistent product as well as a high level of customer service
- Monitor, analyze and take action on annual operating expenses
- Continually seek innovative ways of doing business
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners and support business requests in a fast paced environment
- Ensure division and segment strategies are being achieved
- Look for areas of opportunity to improve efficiency and strive for consistent processes within the Costuming organization
- Accountable for an annual operating labor and charge out
- Lead planning sessions with partners to forecast yearly labor demand
- Partner closely with other Area Managers to maintain hiring consistencies
- Oversee and establish process and Operating Guides
- Establish and maintain partnerships that support the implementation of new product
You Will Have:
- 5+ years' experience in a leadership role
- 3+ years' experience in Costuming, Theater, Garment Manufacturing, Fashion, Entertainment or other related field
- Experience leading salaried and hourly union employees
- Experience delivering feedback to all levels of employee
- Experience communication (both written and verbal) with all levels of partners
- Experience planning workload, problem solving, co *** ict resolution, i *** uencing and negotiating
- Experience building strong, mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Valid driver's license
- Able to work around all types of fabrics and furs
- Able to be flexible with work schedule, including extended hours, holidays, and weekends
- Able to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with electronic work order and planning software such as Maximo and Primavera
- Familiarity with digital garment patterning and manufacturing
Education:
- High school degree or equivalent is required
- Bachelor's degree in fashion, apparel, costuming or equivalent is preferred
