Automation & Reliability Engineering (ARE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. Your Role Accountabilities:

Qualifications & Experiences:

Experience with large-scale distributed systems and architecture knowledge (Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems, networking, storage) in a cloud computing or traditional IT infrastructure environment.

What you'll do

A Penn State Alum, Jayne began her career in journalism with a small daily newspaper in State College Pennsylvania. Jayne had a reputation for breaking stories that otherwise may never be told. Her work uncovered corrupt public officials and unethical practices in private business. It raised issues of accountability and effectiveness in the criminal justice system. Frequently, Jayne's reporting resulted in changes in legislation and public policy and sparked widespread debate. During her more than 45-year career, Jayne has earned national and regional awards in journalism, including a DuPont Award from Columbia Journalism School, a National Edward R. Murrow Award and the Radio Television Digital News Association Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Opportunity

The Fellowship is designed to give students exposure to the television broadcast news industry with a top-30 news market. The emphasis will be on investigative journalism with an intense focus on research, newswriting and reporting.

This position will support the sale tax function as well as process invoices for Accounts Receivable for bill plans to customers by working directly with the Sales Order management group.

Job Duties:

Responsible for compiling, managing and maintaining data required for sale tax filings by state and local jurisdictions.
Assist with analyzing sales/ purchases data to determine proper tax treatment
Calculate applicable taxes due using sales tax matrix or other software
Maintain files for all customer exemption certificates and request when necessary
Maintain and reconcile sales tax accrual accounts
Perform applicable sales tax research
Assist in tax compliance and audits
Resolve tax notices timely
Work closely with customer ser *** at manufacturing entity as well as corporate tax department and third-party vendors/customers.
Timely invoicing of all shipment invoices to customers
Other related duties & projects as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (will also consider equivalent work experience)
Strong working knowledge of Sale Tax (prior experience a must)
Experience in defining/implementing best practices for the business regarding sales tax process
Strong working knowledge of Excel, and other Microsoft applications
Strong communication skills; both written and oral
Ability to handle multiple priorities in efficient manner
Ability to work as part of a team in a deadline-oriented environment
Oracle experience is a plus
