YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Provide strategic direction on creation of insight-driven storytelling-focused content marketing sales proposals

• Develop and coach junior managers on content monetization, packaging plans, presentation aesthetics and communication

• Support Directors and team in day-to-day Partner Solutions pre-sales and post-sales activities including but not limited to: preliminary outlines and integrated marketing proposals for sales to present to clients and advertising agencies (occasionally attend and/or present at in-person meetings)

• Represent PST in day-to-day brainstorming meetings to assess client needs and maximize revenue opportunities for second-tier accounts

• Liaise with Executive Producers, editorial, & scheduling teams, and partner solutions VPS and directors to ensure conceptual approval and alignment

*** Theatrical Group is currently seeking an executive to be Director, Sales & Ticketing with broad experience across both the New York Broadway and North American Touring businesses. This leader must possess a unique combination of analytical, collaborative and strategic skillsets while being able to motivate team members to deliver a top-of-class ticketing experience on behalf of all of our productions.
In this role, the individual must work daily with internal partners such as fellow Sales & Analytics colleagues, Touring, Marketing, Finance, Production, Operations and others while managing external relationships with venue owners and box office staffs, ticketing companies like Ticketmaster and TixTrack and a wide variety of third party sales partners and distributors. Simultaneous to powering critical relationships, this executive is responsible for generating optimal yield and attendance levels on behalf of all DTG productions.

Your New Role

Director focusing on the reporting and analysis of Consolidated Intercompany activity. Consolidated Financial Reporting is responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures for inclusion in the *** Discovery quarterly and annual SEC filings ensuring results are in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. Works with the Controllership groups to ensure adequate explanation of submitted results, communicate reporting requirements to internal partners and to obtain alignment on process efficiencies.

Your Role Accountabilities

Team Management

• Manages team of two: Manager and Sr. Analyst; including determination of work allocation, setting deadlines, review of deliverables and employee development

Intercompany

• Manages monthly review of Consolidated *** Discovery Intercompany receivables/payables, including distribution of outage report, question unusual activity, investigate large variances and resolution follow-up on previously identified issues

• Work in multiple GL systems to report results, including researching and reconciliation of data in various legacy systems

• Responsible for understanding and clearing Content Intercompany variances to the appropriate balance sheet account

• Establish companywide processes for the recording and reporting of Intercompany activity in multiple systems, including future ledger (SAP S4) and current legacy ledgers (SAP/PeopleSoft/Oracle)

• Documentation and education of Intercompany processes across all accounting teams
• Evaluate and provide guidance on new or unusual Intercompany activity, including treatment of timing differences *** ween sister companies

• Oversight of all Trading Partner master data, including governance and approval of intercompany trading relationships in SAP S4

• Manage audit and SOX processes related to Intercompany, including preparing and submitting of data to various platforms

Legal Entity Accounting

• Provide oversight and guidance on various legal entity transactions

• Work closely with the Tax department on structure changes, dividends and any other legal entity projects
• Evaluate and provide guidance on required entries, accounts to be used, hierarchy structures in various GLs and any eliminations needed
• Review effect of transactions posted to ensure correct reporting

• Oversight of all Company Code master data, including governance and approval in all systems

• Monitor hCue for changes and follow up to ensure all changes are made in the applicable GL systems

Special Projects/Other

• Manage PeopleSoft specific oversight, primarily approvals of master data, opening of the GL

• Lead other key projects and initiatives impacting reporting; collaborate with internal/external customers, business partners and peers to drive efficiencies in processes and effectively meet deliverables, as required

• Provide assistance/support to other areas within Consolidated Financial Reporting as needed

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

• Prior experience with a major brand, studio, *** company, streaming service, brand and/or marketing agency, consumer marketing, marketing communications and/or digital/high-technology consumer companies/products
• Experience participating in the partnership, planning, and execution process

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $120,000.00 - 140,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
