Night AE needed for Wednesday through Sunday shift. Hours will be around 6pm - 2am (8 hour shift). Dates are 11/4 - 12/27 in Burbank. This show is Union/tier 1 scale pay. I need someone who is good at grouping multi-cams and troubleshooting if we receive something odd or off from the field (why would that ever happen, even...). This position is to help ingest and group media, help editors on the weekends SHOULD we need to bring them in and make sure links get sent out and of course other miscellaneous AE things that might come up. I need someone who can work productively and efficiently with little supervision and communicates well in their night notes.

I know this isn't the most enticing gig offer, but I imagine it might suit someone's needs.

Responsibilities:

Edits content from concept to completion. (voiceovers, reporter packages, and special report pieces)
Collaborate with content producers and writers on the team
Proactively go through multiple show rundowns, creating content that matches the script with precision on a deadline.
Works with both talent and producers to deliver not only on-air content but content for all platforms.
Download stories from *** One and *** , and as needed able to assume responsibility for coordinating the edits of this content to ensure a successful newscast.

Required Experience:

A successful candidate should have at least three years of experience working in a television newsroom as a video editor.
Ability to multitask, prioritize & manage tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced newsroom environment
This position requires a flexible work schedule, and you must be willing to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be knowledgeable in non-linear editing and have experience using Adobe Premiere
Must be proficient with basic video and audio principles.
Must be able to take direction and be a "great teammate" who is not afraid of an intense news environment.

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of Dalet is preferred
