What you’ll do:
- Must be able to work in office and have flexible scheduling to accommodate late nights and possible weekend work.
- Work alongside, and under the direction of, the Lead Assistant Editor to ingest and prep all offline projects for editors.
- Transcode and organize footage, create proxies, stringouts, transcriptions, Multicam Clips.
- Upload and manage projects on Google Drive for remote editors and freelancers.
- Address basic notes on edits, such as: copy notes, music cue notes, legal blurs, etc.
- Source stock footage, music, SFX, etc. for editors and producers as requested.
- Prep projects for final online: AAF, XML, OMF, ProRes Transcodes for mixer and colorist.
- Overcut audio and picture with final graphics renders, stock footage, music etc.
- Effectively communicate with account managers, editors, producers, and supervisors through Slack and email during project online to ensure all notes are addressed.
- Create and QC final deliverables to spec.
- Create stock and music cue sheets.
- Assist the Lead Assistant Editor in project organization on the server, and project archiving on ProMax Storage and Google Cloud Storage (GCP).
- Prioritize tasks and handle multiple requests in an organized and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot technical issues for in-office and remote editors, producers, and supervisors.
- Promptly communicate and escalate issues to relevant project leads when necessary.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as an assistant editor
- Above average proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with a fast paced post-production environment
- Familiarity with Google Drive and other cloud based platforms (Box, DropBox, Hightail, WeTransfer etc).
- Experience servicing multiple editors and project supervisors on different projects simultaneously is a plus
- Experience in web video content is a plus
- Experience working in client-based marketing videos is a plus
- Experience with Frame.io a plus
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve a plus
- Extreme attention to detail
- Exceptional technical abilities
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve effectively
- Understanding of frame rates, conversions, & codecs
