Title: Online Assistant Editor

General Summary: This position supports the Online Department staff and oversees for the uprez, sync, act
timing checks and online media management for all shows coming from offline. The Online Assistant Editor will
assist and troubleshoot technical issues with media as they arise.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for transcoding and AMA-ing materials for locked cuts received from offline.
- Responsible for performing sync passes on fully-uprezed sequences.
- Troubleshoots and fixes problem master clips.
- Updates Task Management software daily with status of assigned duties.
- Ensures that there are no continuity, look, or color errors in each production, and reports any discrepancies
as noted to the appropriate parties.
- Checks for proper pixilation, audio, and graphics.
- Provides a check before final cuts are sent to the Network for review and ensures that changes are noted
and addressed.

- Possesses requisite interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with staff, executives,
and departments in a collaborative and tactful manner.
- Reliably and diligently executes daily tasks and shares a sense of urgency and determination to
accomplish set goals.
- Capable of positively handling verbal, written, and social interactions with others on a regular basis, and
positively accepting regular feedback, criticism or changing preferences regarding the work product related
to a particular show or series.
- This position requires light email and phone correspondence.
- This position requires no interaction with high-level executives.
- This position requires great follow-through and the ability to sustain a heavy and ever-changing workload.
- This position is hourly with a great potential for overtime.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in the entertainment industry with a preference in Post-Production.
- Must be proficient in Avid Media Composer.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Must be comfortable with the Macintosh Operating Systems.
- Must be comfortable with the Windows Operating Systems.
- An interest in advancement within the Online industry is a big plus as this is an entry-level position with
room for growth.
Physical Demands:
- This position requires light lifting of no more than 5-10lbs unassisted.
- Sedentary position that requires remaining in a stationary position for long time periods.
Work Environment:
- The Online Assistant Editor works in a solitary
environment.
