Job Description

Do you love pop culture and entertainment news? What about trends, viral videos, and social *** ? Access Hollywood is looking for a Field Producer to deliver and execute creative content around a variety of topics including entertainment news, human interest, and celebrity features. Reporting to the Executive Producer and Supervising Producers, as well as working closely with our Production teams, this role will be responsible for the execution of daily editorial content covering an array of topics in a variety of forms, from breaking news to red carpets to oversight and execution of package pieces.

This position will crash day of air pieces and breaking news, so writing, edit, and strong storytelling skills are a must. This position will produce in the field and at offsite interviews when needed, source and advance news stories, and work well within a team environment. Must be comfortable developing ideas that work across all *** including on air, digital, and social *** .

Essential Responsibilities

Oversee creative segments under the direction of the EP, Co-EP, and Supervising Producers as well as work closely with Production team members to ensure budget expectations are met, staffing needs are communicated, and post/deliverables are executed on time.
Be a one-person band when necessary, crashing day of air pieces for broadcast with quick turnarounds.
Contribute towards building the brand identity by being able to take information and create engaging and interactive formats in which the viewer can participate.
Write scripts and execute story telling visually through the selection of appropriate still and video images within budget and time parameters and while maintaining factual accuracy.
Attend junkets, premieres and other outside events, including award shows, to execute news coverage.

The Field Producer brainstorms and pitches ideas, researches topics and works closely with reporter(s) to advance stories, break news and produce segments both in studio and in the field.

What you'll do:

Working both independently and with reporters/anchors to produce original business news content, primarily for broadcast and additionally for digital and social.

The Field Producer is a key position which requires making editorial decisions, coordinating logistics and overseeing the quality of our news coverage in the field and in the bureau. JOB DESCRIPTION
*** 5 Atlanta is seeking a highly motivated News Producer. The Producer gathers news and information for newscasts and plays an active role in deciding newscast content, how stories are presented, and where they will be placed within the newscasts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Line produces assigned newscast, and fills in on other newscasts when necessary.
Line produces unscheduled news coverage as needed. Assigns and supervises associate producers.
Prepares newscast rundowns.
Utilizes a variety of storytelling techniques, devices and studio stage locations to showcase news content in the most compelling and appropriate manner possible.
Builds graphic elements for use in the newscasts.
Collaborates with production staff to execute live newscasts and to develop compelling presentations of newscast content.
Discusses story angles and newscast content with news managers, reporters and assignment editors.
Collaborates with the digital team to identify digital and social *** content to present in the television newscasts, using production styles to maximize viewer interest in the newscast and engagement on the station's digital platforms.
Innovates non-traditional storytelling techniques.
Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Computer literacy
Proficient in writing conversational broadcast news copy under deadline.
Proficient in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Communicates clearly, effectively and politely with the public in person and over the telephone.

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred. Two years of experience producing television newscasts for broadcast on a commercial television station.

Segment Producer

Responsible for developing creative content for a news and/or entertainment show. The producer must have an in-depth understanding of production within an entertainment-news environment.

**** YOU'LL DO:

Pitch, develop, book, direct and write segments relating to news or entertainment.
Lead talent and crew for taped video productions by organizing the program elements; including graphics, aggregated footage and any necessary components to accomplish the task.
Responsible for delivering quick-turn, high-priority projects while executing consistently high-quality production value.
Copy edit scripts and work with other staff and production personnel to improve and refine the elements of programs to conform to specific quality standards and time requirements.
Develop contacts and sources.
Book guests.
Work closely with network talent, line producers and/or post editors on final production.
Create banners and basic rundown timing.

**** YOU'LL NEED:

Bachelor's degree preferred
3-5 years of experience in television production as a show producer
Experience producing stories at all stages of development from pitch to air.

**** YOU'LL BRING:

Must be proficient in shooting, writing and editing.
Ability to cultivate and develop contacts and sources.
Strong interviewing and writing skills, the ability to oversee and coordinate all creative elements to support the story including acquiring and clearing footage, scheduling talent, experts, crews and editors.
Solid experience writing, booking, story development and strong visual skills.
Must have solid social *** experience and be well connected.
Strong leadership skills to interface with co-workers and our diverse community.
