Looking to hire a seasoned LP for a first season docu-series in the Houston area.

This position provides management, leadership and oversight across a logistic-heavy production with many moving parts and tight timelines to stay on top of.

This role will work closely with the EP/Showrunner in the field, reporting to the company’s Production Executive in LA to ensure the production is fully supported to meet the creative needs, whilst staying on schedule and on budget, ensuring the safety of cast and crew are always a priority.

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production management, ensuring creative and logistic expectations are met by facilitating communication, thinking strategically, leveraging efficiencies, utilizing local resources and relationships while maximizing budgetary and schedule parameters.

This person must have a strong background in production management on docu-series.

We are looking for an experienced Line Producer for *** 's Early Today.

Responsibilities:

Assist Executive & Senior Producer in creating daily broadcast by executing editorial vision of day.
Serve as backup Senior Producer.
Oversee daily rundown changes and the timing of the show.
Use leadership skills to motivate, mentor and manage employees.
Write opens, scripts and teases.
Work with show director and production crew.
Pitch story ideas (day-of, next day, futures).

In Control Room:

Preview accuracy of upcoming video, graphics and chyron.
Preview upcoming stories and segments.
Communicate with guests and correspondents-time cues, roll cues, thank-you's.
Communicate with control room staff-director, technical director and TPM.
Time newscast.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Must have at least 5 years of experience in live television (i.e. large-market morning shows, cable shows, broadcast TV, etc.).
Must have at 1 year of line producing experience.
Editorial experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment, ability to anticipate and respond quickly to change.

a control room/Tricaster environment. Producer needs to be able to identify newsworthy
