Job Description *** U Local is currently seeking an experienced production executive to manage all aspects of production for its content studio which produces commercials, branded entertainment, specials, syndicated programming and various other short and longform *** for the businesses of *** U Local *** . The ideal candidate will guide creative development and be a production expert with the proven ability to produce and manage complex productions, work in tandem with *** U ad sales, Local *** stations, production executives, external agencies and other partners. Additionally, this leader will have extensive production management experience in linear and digital series, including expert scheduling and budgeting ability. As the leader of a team servicing a diverse set of businesses, the right candidate will foster an empowering, collaborative, and inclusive culture that fuels creativity, innovation and achievement.
Responsibilities- Serve as an architect of change, leading team strategies for new growth & development.
- Cultivate a culture that encourages risk-taking, collaboration, teamwork, and innovation.
- Oversee the development and execution of impactful storytelling and inventive production, both long and short form, across linear, digital, and social platforms.
- Manage production planning and scheduling holistically, evaluating workflows, recommending efficiencies, establishing protocols and standards, and maintaining high quality and bold, distinctive creative.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, internally and externally.
- Foster key relationships with internal partners, including Ad Sales, Marketing, Station executives, HQ, to enhance collaboration and exposure for the production team.
- Manage budgets, approve and review production costs, evaluate vendors, coordinate cross-business vendor contract negotiations, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional units.
- Core production responsibilities serve the business of: LXTV Productions, Skycastle Productions, *** LX Home network, COZI TV, *** U Local *** FAST channels, along with other assigned projects and duties.
Qualifications- 10 or more years of relevant production and/or marketing experience, with a supervisory-level background in broadcast, agency, or related environments.
- 10 or more years of production management experience in broadcast or cable networks, with a comprehensive understanding of production workflows across various genres.
- Proven problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in assessing budgets, schedules, and full-scale production plans for diverse program types (e.g., pilots, series, live events).
- Strong project management, accounting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership abilities, including organization, accuracy, articulation, responsibility, flexibility, resourcefulness, and self-motivation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with both internal and outside production company executives
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
