We need a professional and experienced production coordinator for a traveling reality show. Candidate must be organized, able to generate call sheets and production reports. Candidate must be willing to work long hours and be a problem solver. Must be great with logistics and a team player. Candidate must have a love for hip hop culture.

We are looking for a production assistant to join our Santa Monica-based company on a two day shoot out in Patterson, CA, as we film a car racing video.

You will carpool in a company vehicle on Monday, June 10 from our office in Santa Monica; filming will be the following two days, with return travel on Thursday, June 13. This will be four fully-paid days.

Must be at least 25 years old and have a valid California driver's license as you will be driving company vehicles on set and we have strict insurance requirements.

Need to be experienced/ready for two long (15+hr) days outside with minimal amenities. You will be assisting with placing and picking up breakfast, lunch, and dinner orders for our 25-person crew, lock-ups while filming, and various tasks throughout the day. Positive attitude and flexibility are needed!

Pay is $250/12 but negotiable based on experience. Both filming days will have overtime and will most likely be 15 hours or slightly more.

SUMMARY: Support the Studio’s mission to be the studio of choice by providing our clients with the finest customer service and support. The Stage Manager is a primary liaison for information and problem solving between the studio and our clients. This position is responsible for assuring the client is well taken care of and any production related requests are handled quickly and thoroughly. The goal is to instill the utmost confidence with the client and handle all situations with a professional, friendly and supportive approach.

RESPONSIBILITES:
• Work closely with all studio departments to assure optimum communication of all production activities.
• Closely monitor and manage stages, support space and production related areas at the facility.
• Assist Security and Parking team with accommodating production needs.
• Accurately communicate any billable services to Sylmar Studios Finance Department.
• Identify any issues with the studio’s facilities and report the problems to the appropriate studio department.
• Educate and ensure the production clients comply with all studio policies and procedures, as well as all government regulations, fire and safety codes, cleanliness, etc.
• Act as the main repository for all production activities and efficiently communicate to all
• Sylmar Studios departments in order to provide the client with seamless solutions.
• Complete Sylmar Studios production reports in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
• Complete daily stage checks and assure client paperwork is accurate. Responsible for
• opening stages and securing stages and production areas at time of wrap and keeping an accurate log of activities.
• Inspect and report any maintenance and repair issues in addition to any safety violations. Ensure that all fire extinguishers in production areas are in good working order.
• Participate in client walks when required, including tech scouts for any location shoots taking place on the properties.
• Understand the studio’s emergency preparedness plan, fire regulations and safety protocols.
• Responsible for hazmat collection and disposal program.
• Coordinate 3 and 40 yard trash bins for clients.
• Supervise third-party furniture supplier during move-in and move-out periods.
• Participate in OSHA, Fire Safety, Forklift and Hazmat certification programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPOSURES:

Fluctuating Work Hours: Production schedules change constantly. This position needs to be flexible as it relates to a predicable work schedule. Since this position supports production clients, Stage Managers must be prepared to align their schedules based on the demand of the clients.

This role will work closely with the EP/Showrunner in the field, reporting to the company’s Production Executive in LA to ensure the production is fully supported to meet the creative needs, whilst staying on schedule and on budget, ensuring the safety of cast and crew are always a priority.
