Job Title: Post Production Supervisor
Dates: November 22, 2021- June 3, 2022. *Potentially starting part time through the end of the year, moving into full time by the New Year*
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
POST:
-Key liaison with the post department and production team
-Manage the cut schedule with the internal team and the network
-Communicate daily with Producers and LP about project schedules, staffing, delivery dates, and related costs to stay on budget and schedule.
-Coordinate AEs schedules and prioritize tasks, and follow up with AEs to ensure that assignments are being completed.
-Lend support to the archival team, and help oversee their organization system.
-Track composer and graphics needs
-QC and submit review cuts, identifying export errors and ensuring cuts meet client standards of timing, formatting, naming conventions and the schedule of element incorporation.
-Handle bids for finishing
-Coordinate, manage and oversee the sound mix and online/color finish
-Oversee delivery of any promotional deliverables, and final materials to clients. Ensure all final paper deliverables are filed on the TDG server
-Make sure project, media and final deliverables are archived, or create archiving plan to be communicated to and executed by TDG Post Manager.
FIELD:
-Act as point person between field crew and post: ensure post receives footage in timely fashion and crew is providing updated logs that match material.
-Organize footage as it’s received from the field. Keep detailed post logs of all footage received from the field: create new logs for every show/season.
-Oversee transcriptions: coordinate with APs what footage needs to be sent out for transcription, keeping track of what has been sent and what has been received.
EXPERIENCE MUST HAVES:
-Minimum 5 years working as a Post Supervisor
-Minimum 3 of years working with Documentary Series
-Familiarity with AVID
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Proactive, organized, detail-oriented -- able to juggle multiple task simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, taking ownership of projects when needed
