Production and Development Manager

As the Producer, you will support the VP of Production and Development for KIDZ BOP in all day-to-day and big picture items for video production and creative for the KIDZ BOP brand.

What you'll do:

Produce and Direct low-mid budget video content for KIDZ BOP
Develop and execute creative for music videos and non-music related videos that stay on brand for the YouTube channel and other platforms
Direct kids and crew in execution of shoots
Stay up to date on popular YouTube Videos for kids
Develop creative
Budget creation/actualization
Hire freelance crews for local and remote productions
Scheduling
Booking Travel
Booking equipment
Oversee post production process and delivery
Assist VP on high budget commercial and music video productions (coordinate/associate producer)
Budget creation and actualization
Scheduling & Booking Travel
Assist in network clearances
Creative input from pre-production through post-production
Commission freelancers and supervise their workload
Actively seek new freelancers
Communicate their timelines
Effectively communicate notes from the larger team
Ensure they are delivering high-quality content
In-house Editor
Work with social media team on social edits for all videos
Work with marketing team on edits for video marketing material
Occasionally edit music videos
Manage domestic and international video releases and scheduling
Work with domestic and international music team to time video releases
Keep entire team up to date on video progress and releases
Video partnership delivery
Work with domestic and international partners to deliver KIDZ BOP content
Manage delivery schedule and content lists
Additional KB Brand maintenance
Assist in scheduling, budgeting and creative for photoshoots
Assist in casting the KIDZ BOP Kids
Assist in scheduling, budgeting and oversight for KIDZ BOP kids’ training.
Re-delivering video content to various outlets and partners
Constantly reviewing popular trends within our demographic in order to create content that compliments this
Researching new video technology (such as livestreaming, IGTV, etc.)

What you'll need to succeed:

Thorough understanding and experience with video production from pre-production through post-production.
Experience hiring and directing freelance crews.
Understanding of how to execute on brand creative.
Experience working with children.
Ability to multitask
Ability to travel
Ability to learn new tasks quickly and execute them efficiently
Thorough knowledge of Adobe Premiere
Knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator preferred but not required

PLI is searching for a multimedia professional to fill the role of Remote Producer & Streaming Technician (responsibilities and qualifications are described below). SUMMARY

Remote Producer & Streaming Technician is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of PLI’s offsite events by working closely with the Programs and Conference departments to coordinate equipment rental and procure the crew for the event. This involves travel to various locations such as New York, Washington DC, Chicago & possibly Los Angeles. This comprises approximately 30% of your time each year, the rest of the year will require onsite presence in our NYC office, on a hybrid schedule.

Remote Producer & Streaming Technician will be responsible for setting up remote webcasts and working with the venue’s production crew to execute technically challenging events that could include both remote panelists and onsite presenters (also known as hybrid events).

This Remote Producer & Streaming Technician will also work closely (when not overseeing remote productions) with PLI’s Streaming Engineer and be part of the PLI Multimedia department that will assist in live streaming/recording, and QA of the stream with various monitoring toolsets to confirm integrity of signal to the end client.

This position reports to the Associate Director, Multimedia Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Remote Programs and Webcasts

- Coordinates & collaborates with Programs, Conference, and technical departments to ensure that the proper A/V equipment is being requested for offsite programs and remote webcasts.
- Manages Third party vendors, evaluating service and fiscal value creating clear documentation of each event.
- Applies broad knowledge of video production, event and presentation technology, audio-visual products, and digital media techniques to successfully stream and record offsite productions and hybrid meetings
- Understands and operates a variety of production based technical equipment for live stream events following established streaming protocols.
- Deliver the appropriate formatted materials to the Edit & Publish team within Multimedia for PLI On Demand Website & Library.
- Recommend creative solutions to create a unified, real-time presentation for onsite and virtual audiences.
- Troubleshoot technical & operational problems before, during, and after events when required.
- Understands how to leverage technical support personnel for prompt resolution.
- QA analysis on all PLI program stream signals to end client.
- Provides support for PLI’s streaming technology, working alongside PLI’s Streaming Engineer.

Quality of Experience Issues Resolution

- Review Salesforce evaluations and Helpdesk tickets and research issues reported by Customers.
- Find and fix problems affecting the quality of the recorded products.
- Follow up with appropriate person or department and communicate actions taken on reported issues.
- Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

- A college degree and/or 4-7 years solid experience with practices and procedures related to audio/video production, presentation technology and equipment.
- An ability to operate and maintain audio/video equipment, read and interpret technical information and understand how to effectively use test equipment.
- Must be able to consistently follow-up and communicate progress on assigned tasks to management and other departments as necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft, MacOS and iOS operating systems
- Ability to use a variety of software applications such as Salesforce and Jira
- Familiar with all phases of video production and streaming including lighting, camera operation and sound recording.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Must demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned work.
- Ability to work independently and generate results with little direct supervision, thereby instilling in management the confidence that the job will get done.

COMPENSATION RANGE FOR THIS POSITION

$44 - $48 per hour (plus periodic overtime)
