Qualifications/Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years experience working in a television newsroom sports department REQUIRED, 5 years experience or more PREFERRED- This IS NOT an entry-level position
- A degree in journalism or a related communication field REQUIRED
- Experience using ENPS and Edius PREFERRED
- Must be capable of working under pressure and meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

11Alive, *** 's *** station in Atlanta, is looking for a motivated, experienced journalist who will lead the evolution of our streaming news platforms. Our senior producer of streaming will help expand our innovative OTT experience (11Alive+) to bring must-see news and weather content into our viewers' homes. The person in this newly created role will collaborate across station departments to identify what our audience wants to watch and solidify a workflow for successful execution of the strategy.

The ideal candidate will have experience curating news, weather and entertainment content on streaming platforms, with an ability to produce, write and edit and a keen eye for detail. We are seeking a person with a knack for creativity and identifying opportunities to "produce up" daily news content, including extended interviews, weather and sports content, and news conferences.

Responsibilities:

• Program our 24/7 OTT stream (11Alive+) with newscasts, breaking news and weather, extended interviews, original content as well as archival material with overall goal to increase minutes watched and create loyal users

• Manage ****'s live-streaming strategies and execution through vMix and additional digital video tools

• Curate and organize ****'s OTT platform (11Alive+) and YouTube (1.7M+ subscribers) to create the most compelling viewer experience

• Work with news and digital departments to optimize existing content

• Monitor metrics and make content decisions with goal of increasing time spent on platforms

• Collaborate with managers, reporters, producers and photojournalists across the newsroom to identify news events and interviews ideal for live streaming and on-demand video

• Utilize available video and platform optimization tools (such as TubeBuddy) to improve digital video content performance through such attributes as thumbnails, tags, playlists and more.

• Serve as OTT advocate throughout station to help foster an environment that champions original, digital-first content production

• Create original streaming content aligning with overall content strategy of news department

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in streaming or live programming

• History of driving content creation with measurable track record of success

• Strong communication skills, verbal, written and visuals; ability to effectively and succinctly communicate to all levels and departments

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities to successfully meet established timelines.

• Experience using analytics to shape strategy

• Working knowledge of Vmix or similar streaming software, strongly preferred

Your New Role...

*** seeks a talented Associate Producer to join the *** 11am-12pm team!

Your Role Accountabilities...

The Associate Producer responsibilities include, but are not limited to: viewing and selecting the strongest and most accurate video elements (packages, sound-bites, B-roll, etc.) for a newscast. APs should be familiar with all important stories and the elements that go with them. They communicate show needs with writers, producers, and assignment desks. Other responsibilities include ordering and/or producing graphics, reporter packages, social *** segments as well as prepare editing requests and use technological tools to research and gather archive video. APs make sure all video elements are prepared properly for air and that *** source records include accurate details. They work in the front row of the control room to communicate the status of video elements and ensure best elements are available quickly.

Your Qualifications & Experience...

• Two years as an AP, writer/producer or producer in local news, cable or at the network level.
• Must have strong news awareness and production skills, the desire to work in a 24-hour newsroom environment and the ability to react quickly and calmly to breaking news situations.
• The candidate must be able to handle themselves professionally in changing and challenging situations and be able to react quickly under duress.
• Knowledge of iNews is extremely beneficial.
• Understanding of graphics, social *** and non-linear production is essential.
• Ideal candidate must be aggressive and be able to adapt to changing technology, demonstrate strong editorial judgment and be willing to work whenever needed.

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY *** TV Stations

*** Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the *** Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the *** Network's national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION
*** 5 Atlanta is seeking a highly motivated News Producer. The Producer gathers news and information for newscasts and plays an active role in deciding newscast content, how stories are presented, and where they will be placed within the newscasts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Line produces assigned newscast, and fills in on other newscasts when necessary.
• Line produces unscheduled news coverage as needed. Assigns and supervises associate producers.
• Prepares newscast rundowns.
• Utilizes a variety of storytelling techniques, devices and studio stage locations to showcase news content in the most compelling and appropriate manner possible.
• Builds graphic elements for use in the newscasts.
• Collaborates with production staff to execute live newscasts and to develop compelling presentations of newscast content.
• Discusses story angles and newscast content with news managers, reporters and assignment editors.
• Collaborates with the digital team to identify digital and social *** content to present in the television newscasts, using production styles to maximize viewer interest in the newscast and engagement on the station's digital platforms.
• Innovates non-traditional storytelling techniques.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer literacy
• Proficient in writing conversational broadcast news copy under deadline.
• Proficient in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Communicates clearly, effectively and politely with the public in person and over the telephone.

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred. Two years of experience producing television newscasts for broadcast on a commercial television station.

Responsible for developing creative content for a news and/or entertainment show. The producer must have an in-depth understanding of production within an entertainment-news environment.

**** YOU'LL DO:

• Pitch, develop, book, direct and write segments relating to news or entertainment.
• Lead talent and crew for taped video productions by organizing the program elements; including graphics, aggregated footage and any necessary components to accomplish the task.
• Responsible for delivering quick-turn, high-priority projects while executing consistently high-quality production value.
• Copy edit scripts and work with other staff and production personnel to improve and refine the elements of programs to conform to specific quality standards and time requirements.
• Develop contacts and sources.
• Book guests.
• Work closely with network talent, line producers and/or post editors on final production.
• Create banners and basic rundown timing.

**** YOU'LL NEED:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in television production as a show producer
• Experience producing stories at all stages of development from pitch to air.

**** YOU'LL BRING:

• Must be proficient in shooting, writing and editing.
• Ability to cultivate and develop contacts and sources.
• Strong interviewing and writing skills, the ability to oversee and coordinate all creative elements to support the story including acquiring and clearing footage, scheduling talent, experts, crews and editors.
• Solid experience writing, booking, story development and strong visual skills.
• Must have solid social *** experience and be well connected.

*** seeks a talented Associate Producer to join the *** 10am-12pm team!

Your Role Accountabilities...

The Associate Producer responsibilities include, but are not limited to: viewing and selecting the strongest and most accurate video elements (packages, sound-bites, B-roll, etc.) for a newscast. APs should be familiar with all important stories and the elements that go with them. They communicate show needs with writers, producers, and assignment desks. Other responsibilities include ordering and/or producing graphics, reporter packages, social *** segments as well as prepare editing requests and use technological tools to research and gather archive video. APs make sure all video elements are prepared properly for air and that *** source records include accurate details. They work in the front row of the control room to communicate the status of video elements and ensure best elements are available quickly.

Your Qualifications & Experience...

• Two years as an AP, writer/producer or producer in local news, cable or at the network level.
• Must have strong news awareness and production skills, the desire to work in a 24-hour newsroom environment and the ability to react quickly and calmly to breaking news situations.
• The candidate must be able to handle themselves professionally in changing and challenging situations and be able to react quickly under duress.
• Knowledge of iNews is extremely beneficial.
• Understanding of graphics, social *** and non-linear production is essential.
• Ideal candidate must be aggressive and be able to adapt to changing technology, demonstrate strong editorial judgment and be willing to work whenever needed.
• Candidates must be extremely flexible and willing to support breaking news and coverage needs in all day parts.
• Four-year degree or commensurate work experience.
