This is a daily, nationally syndicated true crime newsmagazine.

Segment Producer:

We are seeking experienced and tenacious Segment Producers for our daily true crime show. This role involves chasing breaking news stories and newsmakers, generating ideas, pitching stories, as well as researching and booking interviews. The ideal candidate has extensive experience booking stories for national television, along with strong connections in justice and law enforcement. Compassion and experience in working with victims and their families are essential qualities, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive newsroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Book exclusive interviews with key figures in high profile breaking and developing crime stories
• Track and pitch breaking crime stories, book interviews with important players, law enforcement and experts
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement agencies, victims advocates, attorneys, victims
and families
• Organize and manage field shoots including writing interview questions, liaising with talent and field along with
camera crews and local station affiliates
• Obtain vital assets for stories including court files, legal documents, photos and video, evidence and archival
materials


In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Pay Range is $95,000 - $105,000 salary per year. Telepictures Productions Inc. provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, sick time, and vacation.

- Have a strong understanding of politics and global events as they pertain to antisemitism, Israel, the Middle East and, hopefully, Jewish history.
- Have a solid sense of story and the ability to think through narratives that could work with the recent increase in antisemitism in the US.
- Have strong booking skills and a willingness to approach people with direct questions.
- Have experience with domestic and global research on politics and history.
- Have amazing fact checking skills.
- Be well versed in global crew/travel/shoot preparation.
- Solid knowledge of pre-pro, production and post-production. Basic lighting, gear etc.
- The ability to DIT or at least a willingness to learn how.
- Willingness to wear any hat on a production including as a PA or grip when needed, which will be often as this will be a small team.

Job is based in the NYC area. Applicant should have an absolute minimum of 5+ years experience as a senior AP or full Producer on high-end documentaries.

Book freelance model, hair, makeup, camera, audio, editor and manage in office staff
Manage shoot budgets and timelines
Prep space with products and manage call sheets

SHOOTS
Oversee schedule and shoot goals
Manage the shoot
Check off the shot list
Clean up and close out shoot

POST
Manage deliverables
Package team all variations of the shoot
Label and store on the server
File model releases and paperwork
Facilitate any payments

LIVE SELLING SOCIAL SHOWS
Manage schedules of talent
Provide all products needed for live
Manage sets: lights, props, scripts, marketing deals
Review analytics to see performance and deals
Set up for talent and be there to oversee and monitor shows
