This position will work closely with the Executive Producers to oversee the post process of hour-long episodes of television on a highly successful show. You will be responsible for supervising the overall schedule, network deliverables, while telling a great story.

Along with the show’s EP’s you will be overseeing the post Producers, APs and Editors, while also staying in contact with the field to ensure we are getting all of the beats we need. You should have the experience and skills to show us what makes each car build exciting and also be ready to pivot on the fly, based on the realities in the field.

Communication, organization and strong leadership are crucial in this position, as is a strong understanding of story, character development and stakes. Looking for someone who can pull together the unique comedy and drama of each episode, who is a team player and is willing to work hard to get the job done and knows what it takes to make compelling television.

Job Duties:

Oversee daily editorial coverage, ensuring competitiveness across all platforms, especially during breaking news events.
Edit scripts meticulously to uphold factual integrity and maintain consistent style standards.
Collaborate with newsroom leadership, *** Owned Television stations, and *** News for special events planning and day-to-day coverage coordination.
Schedule editorial staff effectively to ensure comprehensive news coverage.
Participate in performance evaluations for assigned editorial staff, in collaboration with the VP of News.
Contribute to *** 4's recruitment efforts and facilitate new employee orientation when necessary.
Monitor market trends, develop and implement content and format changes, and communicate the vision to the team.
Collaborate with Creative Services to create promotions that resonate with a wide audience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in news management or 7+ years of main show producing in a top 10 market.
Proficiency in working with the latest newsroom technologies, both hardware and software.
Nuanced and detailed copy editing abilities.
Proven track record of mentoring and developing Producers or Senior Producers.
Ability to partner closely with nighttime and early morning Producers to create a seamless newscast in a 24-hour news environment.
Experience creating schedules for newsroom staff.
Good collaborative and interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels.
Basic understanding and demonstration of editorial judgment and journalistic ethics in all platforms, including a current knowledge of laws of libel, slander and applicable FCC rules and regulations.

Desired Characteristics:

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnights.
Prior working experience in the Los Angeles news market.
Capability to help set and communicate newsroom policies.
Prior experience producing Dayside broadcasts in a top 10 market.
Prior experience in a duopoly news environment.
Experience producing digital content for a newscast.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Create, develop, and produce daily rundowns for up to a 90-minute newscast. Assign news stories to news writers. Assist in editing news stories turned in by writers and reporters. Coordinate production activities and deadlines with directors, associate directors, and production assistants, and works closely with Managing Editor, Executive Producers, and News Directors on story preparation and newscast rundowns. Create graphics and maps for newscast, as well as banners and chyrons.Maintains flexibility during newscast for coverage of breaking news while show is on air, and monitor running time of the show as to the correct off time of the newscast. Must be an excellent writer with a keen sense of stories that intrigue and interest viewers, with solid news judgment. Candidate must be able to work well under pressure, and possess excellent people, communication, and organizational skills.

3-5 years of news experience as a line producer for cable, local television, or network newscasts and knowledge of newsroom computer system (inews) is required. College degree required.

JOB DESCRIPTION -

Do you love pop culture and entertainment news? What about trends, viral videos, and social *** ? We're looking for a Sr. Associate Producer to execute creative content around a variety of topics including entertainment news, human interest, and celebrity features. Reporting to the Supervising Producer and Producer, as well as working closely with our Production teams, this role will be responsible for the execution of daily editorial content covering an array of topics in a variety of forms, from games to transformations to interviews. Willingness to have fun and take risks is key in this position!

From day in and day out producing to red carpets and award shows, this person will be able to work collaboratively within a small team to create engaging television. This position will help execute segments in studio, be able to assist in the field and at offsite interviews as directed, and work well within a team environment. Must be comfortable working across all *** including on air, digital, and social *** .

Essential Responsibilities -

Help execute creative segments under the direction of the Supervising Producer and Producer as assigned, as well as work closely with Production team members to ensure budget expectations are met, staffing needs are communicated, and post/deliverables are executed on time.
Assist Producer and delegate to Production Assistants as necessary.
Be resourceful in the procurement of props, photos, music, and video elements that meet clearance/budget requirements, and book/prepare guests.
Assist in the production of original and engaging editorial pieces, including supporting digital content when necessary, for broadcast.
Participate in content creation from conceptualization through the various stages of execution, to include: Research/Studio/Field Work/Post and Voiceover direction.
Assist in booking guests and human interest stories.
Identify and pitch story opportunities, finding the unique story angle while maintaining factual accuracy.
Must demonstrate pop culture passion, entertainment news authority and active participation and awareness of the importance of social *** to the entertainment news/daytime tv genre.
Basic knowledge of editing desired, but willingness to learn is sufficient, with expectation that material can be delivered from producer directly to studio when necessary.
Diligent about production paperwork including shoot reports and music reporting, legal guidelines, journalistic standards, and adhering to the on air working practices.
Flexibility in role within the team and within the company, including working across multiple formats and departments as needed.
Strong communicator who can work closely with team members and talent, take feedback constructively, and contribute to an environment of communication and accountability.
Creatively ambitious, willing to take risks and have fun.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of professional TV experience with a talk show, news, journalism, or other relevant entertainment experience required.
