- Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).
Teleprompter Operator needed to roll the prompter for the talent and process all linear and file-based ingest requests with a strong emphasis on quality control for a competition cooking show.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Loads and run the script following the talent.
• Clean and inspect prompter hardware including monitor and reflective glass prior to broadcast.
• Check closed captioning of recorded or live broadcast if necessary.
• Search for and retrieve content in physical media or file-based systems.
• Meticulously label ingested material per required standards, following naming conventions.
• Operate standards converters when required.
• Operate scan converters when required.
• Quality control checks of content as required.
• Work to help clients with questions about media ingest, placement of files, etc.
• Respond quickly and professionally to all Ingest requests.
• Ability to be a front line resource for trouble shooting issues and resolving problems.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Working knowledge of Computers and Windows Operating Systems including word processing software.
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience, preferably 3+ years, in a production environment for television or an on-air broadcast operations area
• College degree in television or communications, OR equivalent work experience.
• Excellent understanding of digital terminology and platforms.
• Strong team skills, listening, initiative and follow through.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business non-editing applications.
• Highly organized, with acute attention to detail.
• Able to function well in stressful conditions.
• Effectively works with others in a team environment.
• Flexible and adaptable when faced with working in a rapidly changing environment.
• Capable of positive interaction with creative, technical, and senior level professionals.
Physical Requirements
• Capable of working in a seated position for extended periods.
• Must be capable of working long hours on computer based equipment.
Dates
We will be filming 8 days total. Start on on the 14th and wrap on the 22nd, with a dark day on the 19th.
