The Senior Producer, Social *** will produce, write, and edit social *** content and copy for 60 MINUTES on existing and emerging social *** platforms. The Senior Producer will devise new proactive and reactive content ideas and innovative franchise ideas to extend the 60 Minutes brand on social *** in ser *** of the goals of building new audiences and revenue streams.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6-10 years of hard news production experience and be an exemplary writer with a singular focus on style and syntax. They should also be able to work flexible hours as the broadcast production schedule dictates and have the ability to play diplomat and bridge diverse personalities and teams. The Senior Producer, Social *** knows how to collaborate well, and drive results among matrixed cross-functional teams where there is not always direct reporting authority. A successful candidate will understand the heritage of the broadcast, and how the past informs how we approach the future.
The Senior Producer will be the owner and primary executor of 60 MINUTES' unique voice on social *** , as we work to engage existing fans on attract new ones. They will also learn and refine 60 MINUTES' internal processes for content and copy review.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6-10 years of network, cable and/or local TV news experience or show producer experience.
- Position demands extremely strong editorial judgement and impeccable and creative writing ability.
- Position requires highly developed relationship building skills, from pitching concepts to execution and measurement.
- Candidate should possess ability to multi-task and excel in a dynamic, quickly changing environment.
- A strong sense of editorial fairness, and a keen understanding of the stakes of producing accurate copy and content.
- Video and photo editing skills are a must. Experience and comfort and Adobe Premiere/Photoshop/Creative suite and/or Avid to create, reformat, and edit content optimized for success on social *** platforms.
- Ability to understand breaking news platforms and obtain rights and clearances for various *** usages.
- Understanding of TV production process and workflows, and how social *** content drives and supports audience loyalty and growth.
- Candidate should anticipate occasionally irregular hours as breaking news cycles and broadcast workflows dictate.

Hiring Salary Range: $115,000.0 - 120,000.0.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
