Short Term Reliable Production Assistant needed for reality shoot in Galesburg, MI.

Responsibilities include helping the crew load and unload equipment, assisting with appearance releases, lunch/crafty runs, and being of general assistance to the Producer on set. Must be able to lift 45-50 lbs. Previous experience preferred.

The rate is $20 an hour based on a 10 hour day. So you'd get $200 for the day if you work 10 hours or under 10 hours. After 10 hours you get additional pay.

Must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, car insurance, and a satisfactory driving record. We cover local mileage reimbursement, but do not cover travel or accommodations.

Looking for an experienced Sound Mixer for a public television food series we are filming in Michigan on June 30, July 1st & July 2nd. We'll be filming with various food cultivators and chefs around the state (with driving between segments), so must have reliable vehicle.

On June 30th, we'll be filming in the Detroit Area, and on July 1st and 2nd, we'll be filming in the Traverse City Area.

Assuming applicant is based in Detroit, mileage to and from Traverse City will be provided, along with lodging and per diem for July 1st and 2nd. A $400 travel stipend will also be offered for the return drive on July 3rd.

We'll be capturing interviews, b-roll and walk and talks using 3x C70s. Kit must included tentacles to sync up the time code (3 total, 1 per camera), personal mixing/recording gear, a boom mic/pole, 1 IFB and 3 lavs. The rest of the crew will be traveling in, so you may also be asked to help us secure a couple of c-stands and sand bags for the camera team.

Looking for a production assistant to join our small but experienced team on a two day shoot (6/25 and 6/27) in Kalamazoo. We will be telling patient stories and doing a set of interviews each day.

Set medic needed June 24th and 25th. Must have own kit and reliable transportation. Day rate is based on a 10/hr day, plus a $50 kit fee.

Interlochen Center for the Arts seeks a dynamic film editor for the Film and New Media division who is eager to contribute to a vibrant program dedicated to the overall development of young visual storytellers as editor and educator. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of visual storytelling and its diverse history, drawn from professional experience as an editor/filmmaker and the pursuit of higher education and professional experience. The Film and New Media Division at Interlochen Center for the Arts consists of two tracks - Live Action Film, and Animation. This position will work primarily with the Live Action Film track, with some courses for film majors, and available to animators and non-majors as electives.This is a one (calendar) year, full time appointment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as an/instructor and editor of a feature documentary project (in coordination with Interlochen Center for the Arts and the Greenacres Foundation) to create a documentary that will show how the results of scientific research and close observations of nature make new efforts in sustainability, regenerative agriculture and preservation, a clear and emotionally accessible story.

Oversee the post-production details of the documentary, and coordinate necessary organizational aspects of planning the workflow of assets and the timely completion of cuts.

Review and organize raw footage, implementing creative and narrative-driven editing techniques and integrating audio elements to enhance the story telling.

Gather regular feedback to ensure all stages/deadlines of post-production are met.

Teach a Post-Production/Editing course developed in conjunction with the Director of Film and New Media.
