Thunder Child is staffing an event that combines the best of makers and creators. Guests will be able to explore interactive exhibits, get an up-close look at maker technology, and attend talks, panels, and small workshops with top creators. Our team members will support the Client team in ticketing/check-in, merchandise sales, event flow etc. to ensure guests have a great experience.

Describe Work Environment:
Event will be hosted in Daly City next to San Francisco.. Staff will be expected to stand or sit for long periods of time in a variety of stations depending on the staffing rotation. Project/event is over the weekend and will require morning and evening shifts.

Responsibilities:
Call all technical cues during discussions/panels
Ensure stage, light, & sound are set up and ready to go
Work directly with producers/Open Sauce team
Review and execute run of show
Work with talent team to ensure all speakers are checked in and ready

Experience/Requirements:
Must have experience with live shows/theater
Plus if you have knowledge of or are an active consumer of YouTube Creator content
Experience with VIP Talent
Customer service experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Awareness of guest interaction, safety, and overall guest experience
Must have a positive, outgoing, energetic demeanor and able to maintain a good attitude
Must be at least 18 years of age upon start of employment

Job Description

The Senior Product Developer will lead a team of product developers to work with buyers, designers, and international business partners to strategize and execute product development across UPR-owned or -affiliated destination entertainment venues (both US and international). This includes leading in the coordination of product development related tasks and ensuring compliance to the quality standards or delivery requirements set in accordance with Company regulations and best practices. This role will also work closely with vendors and suppliers to recommend any changes to the current product development to ensure compliance with the affiliated destination product safety standards.

Your responsibilities include:

Working closely with a team of product developers and partner with Brand Manager, Supervisor and Compliances team during product development stage. This involves tracking changes to licensor's requirements, identifying manufacturing issues and ensuring the accuracy of materials or components used.
To facilitate onboarding of new vendors and to carry out merchandising responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Work with buyers, designers and suppliers from the ideation phase to production stage in line with project deadlines.
Handles product development including working with external vendors and factories on sample reviews.
Understands and applies manufacturing and costing parameters to product.
Ensures product design excellence by making character and product corrections during sampling, prototyping and address key issues and challenges in production/assembly and plans accordingly to deliver high-quality products.
To participate in UPRGM produce development meeting or calls conducted in other time zones.
Ensure good housekeeping is in place in the respective area of responsibilities.
Establish product specifications to satisfy product requirement.
Coordinates with Manager on new projects and scheduled deadlines.
Limited travel for onsite product approval and trade shows.
Undertake other ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Demonstrates strong engineering and design knowledge as well as understanding of prototype design processes.
Understanding of how product components and materials work together both functionally and aesthetically.
Familiar with product manufacturing knowledge and regulations across countries in Asia.
Familiar with Microsoft Office products - especially Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong prioritization and creative analytical problem-solving skills.
