Role:
Major network looking for Assistant Editor to join Original Short Form team. All work will be done remotely, due to COVID, until further notice.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Onlining outside editors’ and archived Premiere projects
-Syncing and grouping shoots, multi-camming, & prepping files and projects in house format
-Prepping OMFs & AAFs for audio mix sessions
-Meticulously preparing deliverables (including onlining/upres-ing) and attentively QC’ing deliverables (slates, stems, etc.) for broadcast and archive
-Track delivery through internal systems and triage kickbacks for projects originating in After Effects and Premiere
-From an editor’s sequence, create licensing documentation (shot sheets, music cue sheets) and upload to internal database upon project completion

Secondary Responsibilities:
-Finish Editing (title safe/errors/color/gfx swaps/audio leveling) in AE and Premiere
-Troubleshoot technical difficulties with editors, coordinating fixes with Production Operations department (our technical team)
-Work with Post Tech & Post Operations Coordinators to implement workflows

-Proven track record of reliable deliveries
-Must be familiar with current file formats for audio and video
-Must be a team player. We work across different brands, producers, and departments
-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Job Description

CLEARANCE
-Manage requests from story producers and editors to source stock clips from popular stock houses including Pond 5, Getty, etc.
-Track all 3rd party materials being imported into the system
-Track budget for any acquired footage that may be included in cut
-Work with Post-Production Supervisor and Producers to ensure creative needs related to AQ are met and remain within budget by the time of lock
-Watch down each cut (RC1, RC2, FC, LC) in step with EDL and make sure all releases have been obtained
-Research, distribute, and collect releases as necessary for people, locations, materials that the field production team was unable to obtain
-Work with Post Production Supervisor, Line Producer, and Legal to determine any clearance issues that may need to be released, blurred, or removed
-Work with Post-Production Supervisor, Line Producer, and Legal for reliance on Fair Use Doctrine and Public Domain

POST-PRODUCTION
-Schedule and communicate graphics, offline, online, and mix needs to various personnel and vendors
-Assist story producers and editors with technical issues

Candidates must speak fluent Ukrainian and be able to translate and edit videos involving Ukrainian-speaking talent. CNE Video Editors bring compelling, culturally-impactful, entertaining, and diverse creative content to life every day. Primary Responsibilities:

Edit a variety of complex digital video concepts across Condé Nast’s portfolio of brands, primarily for YouTube in both English and Korean
Collaborate with Directors and Producers to meet the creative and technical goals of each unique project
Able to quickly and independently cut to the essence of a story, and create compelling and entertaining narratives from diverse raw materials
