This position will be performed either at our main office or remotely from Cincinnati (where we are interested in a second office).
About the Role:
The editor/animator is a full-time role delivering digital media projects to our clients. NMG provides both video and photography services, coupled with technology offerings that allow our customers to leverage our productions in ways that maximize the value of their marketing and engagement activities. The editor/animator is an integral part of our delivery team. For each of the assigned projects, the editor/animator is responsible for: 1) partnering with producers/account management and NMG specialists to determine the creative direction, 2) executing processes to rapidly create and quality check edit jobs and, 3) working closely with animators, producers, and other post-production specialists to gain client acceptance. The candidate will be technically savvy, play a key role in the value chain for production work, and interface directly with internal customer representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in creative design and planning sessions with production staff
• Organize and execute post production workflow and file management
• Demonstrate expertise in producing a film or photography while staying on time, on budget
• Deliver high-quality products for social media, web, and other marketing channels/mediums
• Execute post-production deliverable acceptance sessions with producers/account managers
• Produce and archive b-roll footage
• Leverage best-of-breed technology tools to edit and animate video/photography; remain up to date on latest technology trends
• Participate in on-site client meetings and shoots, periodically as required
• Create graphics and content products for all on-air, digital, print, physical, and social media platforms
• Desire to keep an ever-growing library of footage and assets organized and tidy
Requirements:
• 3+ years in film production, broadcasting, television, or similar discipline
• 2+ years in sound editing, and sound design experience
• 2+ years in creative concepting work
• 2+ years in color grading experience
• 2+ years in visual design, aesthetics
• 2+ years in Adobe Creative Suite experience is a must, including but not limited to; Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator
• 2+ years of experience with Mac OS, audio interfaces, microphones, preamps, compressors, limiters, and digital audio workstations
• 1+ years on a film or photography set
• 1+ years in DSLR photography and video techniques
• Strong visual storytelling abilities
• Attention to detail related to: audio capture, audio mixing, lighting, and overall detail of production
• Proficient knowledge of green screen filming and chroma key techniques
• Team player and cross-functional skills/knowledge to cover other areas, as needed
Bonus Qualities:
• Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and campaigns
• Healthcare and retail industry experience
• Experience creating budgets and profit/loss responsibility
• Knowledge and extensive experience in Cinema 4d or Maya 3D modeling software
• Experience with 4K workflow; experience in graphics and digital video design
