DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Multiplatform Marketing will bridge the gap *** ween our current creative services and our storytelling teams - overseeing unit of combined resources. This role will report directly to VP of News & Creative Content and will be responsible for increasing engagement on all screens, through a non-traditional approach to marketing content across platforms. This role will be highly engaged in storytelling, from concept creation to execution while strategically leveraging all screens to drive viewer consumption. The ideal candidate for this position is a true champion of cross-trained teams, finding success by strategically leveraging shared resources for topical linear production, digital marketing and producing special content (including but not limited to: story series, specials, community engagement experiences).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Works with VP of News & Creative Content and General Manager to stand up station identity and develop brand to be delivered on all screens.
• Manages team of promotions manager, topical producers, special projects unit
• Works with news managers, ensuring digital producers leverage assets to market content on all screens.
• Works with promotions manager to identify priority topical content and oversees overall execution across screens.
• Oversees production of station promotional campaigns
• Works with VP of News & Creative Content and General Manager to develop strategic plan for community engagement.
• Works closely with station EPIC, identifying marketing opportunities through community events and engagement.
• Works with the special projects EP and EP of Impacting Communities to drive strategy behind selection, production and placement of special/community/non-traditional news content.
• Drives cross-collaboration *** ween creative team and news, participating in daily editorial discussions and managing approach to market stories for all screens.
• Supports promotion manager in maintaining daily brand marketing strategy, identifying path for field crews to raise awareness about their stories and leveraging cross-trained staff to effectively produce marketing material.
• Develop platform-specific strategic plan, leveraging data and analytics through experimentation.
• Work closely with Director of Research and Digital Managing Editor to develop KPI understanding among content creators.
• Responsible for growing digital consumption and minutes spent viewing content, by successfully marketing content on all screens.
• Grow the funnel, offering snackable content on digital platforms, feeding back viewers into the linear space.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven track record of applying a strategic approach to digital marketing.
• Experience leading special projects units, and building marketing strategies around storytelling.
• Proven experience increasing viewership on stream/OTT platforms.
• Proven track record streamlining production workflows.
• Experience with experimentation in formats and shooting styles, willingness to break the traditional mindset and storytelling mold.
• Extensive experience building brands, identifying effective messaging & visuals to grow an audience on non-traditional platforms.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $310,000 - $830,000.

Job Description

The *** U Local Division consists of 43 local *** and TLMD stations and 6 Regional Sports Networks. Reporting to the VP of Ad Sales Finance, this position will play a critical role supporting $2B of advertising sales. The Director will partner with *** U Local Sales & Finance Leadership, Operations, Sales Business Development & Strategy, Controllership and *** U Network Ad Sales Finance. In addition to leading financial planning and analysis for the division, this role provides unique financial oversight of *** U's leading ad tech OTT/CTV solution, *** Spot On. Gain in-depth knowledge of the *** U Local commercial operations as well as lead all aspects of management reporting and revenue accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of the financial planning cycles for *** U Local Ad Sales including pacing, quarterly estimates, budget, and long-range plan with close partnership with the Local and Network finance teams.
• Responsible for revenue recognition monthly close and quarter end management reporting.
• Oversee entertainment / sports bid model analysis and post-mortem network requests.
• Manage executive sales reporting for all tentpole events (Olympics, World Cup, SNF, etc) and political cycles.

Pay Range
Salary: $105,000 - $150,000

Your New Role

To direct and proactively manage all facets of **** Licensing - Agents, revenue, marketing, operations in SEA, HK, Taiwan and Korea , in order to deliver target revenues and net contributions set by **** divisional head and **** APAC regional head. This role will have to work closely with the licensing agents to maximize the long-term value and financial returns across South East Asia, HK, Taiwan and Korea.

This to include, but not to be limited to: Strategy for the territory, Management of Agents, Responsibility for revenue, marketing, and retail activities for ****; management of WBD personnel and interaction with other WBD divisions locally as well as **** division HQ and other **** offices; identifying and securing product placement opportunities, business development, overseeing brand assurance processes, monitoring royalty collections. The Director will maintain effective relationships with key licensees and retailers in the marketplace at the highest possible level in order to maximize regular communication with licensees and retailers, consistent sell-in opportunities and successful merchandising of WB products. This role will oversee Global and Destination revenue generation through management of agents and sales, controllable costs, and efficient operational aspects. The Director will collaborate with other in-territory Business Unit heads in order to maximize cross divisional revenue for the territory.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Full P/L responsibility to lead and manage agents and sales, marketing, creative, licensee support, brand assurance and administration/operations for the market. Achieve destination revenues and profit objectives for the territory as set by **** Division Head and WBD Regional Head, and aligned with WBD International.
  

• Guide, assist and manage licensing agents' to deliver targets for the territory.
  

• Create and implement comprehensive long/short term sales and marketing plans consistent with the overall marketing direction of **** and the Global positioning of each property/brand. This plan should maximize Global & Destination revenue objectives, retail presence and market share.
  

• Develop and Grow Highly Effective Business Relationships (external and internal)
  
  • Develop and execute a licensing strategy to be implemented within the region. Work with/along the division heads and local Country Manager. Develop relationships with top executives in other WBD Divisions/Companies in the region to maximize achievement of Division objectives - and contribute to corporate marketing opportunities for full line growth.
