Segment Producer:

We are seeking experienced and tenacious Segment Producers for our daily true crime show. This role involves chasing breaking news stories and newsmakers, generating ideas, pitching stories, as well as researching and booking interviews. The ideal candidate has extensive experience booking stories for national television, along with strong connections in justice and law enforcement. Compassion and experience in working with victims and their families are essential qualities, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive newsroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Book exclusive interviews with key figures in high profile breaking and developing crime stories
• Track and pitch breaking crime stories, book interviews with important players, law enforcement and experts
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement agencies, victims advocates, attorneys, victims
and families
• Organize and manage field shoots including writing interview questions, liaising with talent and field along with
camera crews and local station affiliates
• Obtain vital assets for stories including court files, legal documents, photos and video, evidence and archival
materials

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Join our dynamic senior management team as a Senior Producer, a pivotal role reporting directly to the executive producers. We are seeking a candidate with over 10 years of experience in national broadcast news, demonstrating expertise in leading teams and crafting impactful, long-format storytelling in crime content. This position requires deep hands-on experience in all aspects of production, and an individual with a deep understanding of the criminal justice system and a sensitivity to the experiences of victims and their families.

Key qualifications include strong editorial judgment, proficiency in compelling writing and script editing, journalistic ethics, innovative thinking, and a collaborative approach. This candidate is deadline oriented and thrives under pressure.

• Oversee a team of experienced writer/producers and collaborate closely with all key departments
• Edit and punch-up scripts to tell compelling narratives that capture the voice of the show while maintaining the

• Contribute to the planning and execution of daily show

Looking for an experienced Associate Producer for reality documentary project. Responsibilities will include detailed research and documenting possible cases, sourcing locations, props, wardrobe and guests/experts. Applicant must have a background in crime shows and recreations. Must also be experienced with outlines, pitch documents, and organized. Looking for a candidate with great communication skills, drive, follow through and detail oriented who works well in a team environment and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves. We are looking for a EP for a new Discovery Channel show similar to Legendary Locations / Expedition X / Expedition Unknown (creative wise).

This position will require management of all producing teams, episode creation and oversight of all episode outlines/scripts/logistics/etc. in production and post.

Experience on Discovery Inc. shows in the history, historical mysteries, paranormal, and mythological genres is a plus.

Strong understanding of the creative process, logistical process, production process and post process required. Strong interview skills is a must.

Starts in the next 1-3 weeks and will run approximately 8-9 months. Production/Post position.

Must be willing to work from our Burbank/Glendale office with your teams.

Design and set up live streaming setups tailored for live shopping, including cameras, lighting, audio, and encoding software.
Coordinate and manage live shopping events, ensuring a seamless and high-quality viewing and shopping experience for viewers.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time to maintain stream integrity and keep the shopping experience smooth.
Work closely with content creators and product teams to develop and implement live shopping strategies that align with our brand and drive sales.
Monitor live streams for quality control and product performance, adjusting as needed to optimize the shopping experience.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in live streaming and online shopping, incorporating innovative features and tactics to enhance engagement and sales.
Manage streaming media assets, including archiving live streams and optimizing video content for on-demand access and product promotion.

Qualifications

Proven experience in live video production and streaming, with a portfolio showcasing previous work in live shopping or related content.
Strong technical proficiency with TikTok's live streaming platform and production equipment (cameras, microphones, lighting) optimized for live shopping experiences. Experience with Amazon’s platform a plus.
Familiarity with encoding software (e.g., OBS Studio, Wirecast, vMix) and streaming protocols used on TikTok.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during live events, especially when managing products and sales in real-time.
Strong communication and project management abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with content creators and product teams.
A passion for delivering high-quality live content that drives engagement and sales, coupled with a keen eye for detail in managing products and live shopping experiences.
