We seek a Product Manager to work with the Sinclair Digital Labs team in defining and developing leading edge news and entertainment audience experiences and publishing tools for the broadcast industry. The Sinclair Digital Labs Product Manager will drive a culture of product innovation through rapid testing, experimentation and proof of concepting while maximizing value for customers and the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Product Manager for Labs, you will be expected to...
- Drive the definition, vision and goals of Labs projects by establishing an innovation portfolio and roadmap.
- Specify and track against objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Help build consensus and excitement with multiple stakeholders for the Labs roadmap and product innovation vision.
- Integrate research with qualitative and quantitative data analytics into the Lab's team innovation methodology.
- Identify calculated risks that may result in big gains to solve customer problems and achieve business goals, as well as mitigation strategies.
- Stay current with and communicate relevant industry trends, recommending improvements to process, products and technologies.
- Continuously seek and integrate customer and stakeholder feedback into the Labs innovation process.
- Help i *** uence key stakeholders (including senior executives) on the design and implementation of Labs experiments and products.
- Collaborate with User Experience resources to develop, define, test and validate hypothesis.
- Articulate a viable business model or business valuefor all Labs projects.
- Collaborate with Product Managers across Sinclair Digital to integrate successful Labs projects and/or deliver those products into the market.
- Be viewed as a thought leader by your peers and the Sinclair Digital team.
- Contribute to the fun.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have...
- A natural ability to identify areas of opportunity with the curiosity and the ambition to develop ideas into products.
- 5+ years of experience providing product management leadership for innovative software development teams.
- Experience in *** /video production, streaming/broadcast *** distribution, ad technology, or data analytics preferred.
- Experience delivering responsive websites, mobile apps, OTT apps, and related technologies.
- Experience working in a labs environment using experimentation, rapid prototyping and proof of concept approaches to product development.
- Expert use of quantitative and qualitative data to derive product management insights.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Expertise in personal organization, time management, decision-making and problem-solving.
- Experience communicating with senior management and executives.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel for company business.
- Willingness to be a team player and collaborator.
