This role collaborates with Product, Engineering and QA to understand and rationalize strategic roadmaps while providing easy to understand, transparent reporting to leadership during delivery.

Job Summary:
Within the Business Operations organization the Lead Technical Program Manager is responsible for managing small through large-scale, complex projects in the Software Engineering area from initiation through closure. These initiatives will involve daily hands-on management of technology activities utilizing Agile and Scrum based software development practices; and may include working with other technical teams to effectively deliver business solutions. This role requires a wide range of leadership competencies, technical (PM) experience and communications skills. Responsible for managing projects using DE&E Technology processes, tools and methodologies, which includes the development of the scope of work and the management of time, cost, risk, and communications.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

Accountable for driving execution and delivery of multiple technical product or software development projects from start to finish.

This role will be responsible for creating flexible and extendable data models, reference architectures & best practices for the enterprise data team to enable data democratization and to support BI, Analytics and Insights. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with Enterprise Architects in formulating the data strategy that is in line with business objectives and processes, including standards of data quality, data flows and data model designs.
Collaborate with product owners to determine business-specific data needs and translate these functional requirements into technical designs
Explore, analyze and understand the data from internal and external sources, outline designs to integrate, centralize and unify data.
Identify attributes, measures and work with Business stakeholders and Product Owners to understand the required KPIs and business rules
Create conceptual, logical and physical data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses, data lakes, data marts and analytics systems.
Demonstrate design prototypes and integrate user feedback to evolve final solutions
Create reference architectures, standards & best practices to ensure engineering teams build distributed, low latency, reliable data pipelines ensuring the availability and timely delivery of data
Drive adoption of best practices and agreed upon design patterns across the Engineering & BI teams. Conduct periodic reviews to ensure the team adheres to these standards and best practices
Conduct a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine and optimize whenever required
Incorporate industry trends and best practices in data model design and development frameworks
Build and maintain appropriate Enterprise Architecture artifacts including; Entity Relationship Models, Physical Data Models, Data dictionary, taxonomy to aid data traceability
Provide technical oversight to solution delivery in creating business driven solutions adhering to the enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
Partner with Governance team and be an advocate of data security principles and ensure appropriate security practices are embedded in all implementations
Partner with other tech teams to achieve objectives in a seamless, collaborative fashion
Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the group

**** YOU **** NEED

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
In-depth knowledge of Data management concepts, data modeling techniques and methodologies in an all-cloud ecosystem dealing with Big Data
Expertise in creating end to end data flow architectures and scalable/flexible data models

Strong understanding of modern data platforms and designs - data warehouse, data lake, lake house, data mesh, real-time streaming etc.
Strong ability to visualize the relationships *** ween different data entities and define data architecture strategies and models to bring data together for defining business KPIs
Experience working with modern data engineering tech stack and platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Services, DBT)
Experience with distributed data architectures and big data processing technologies (Spark, EMR, Hadoop, Hive)
Experience working with real-time data streams processing and ingestion frameworks ( Apache Kafka, Kinesis, Flink or Spark Structured Streaming)
Expertise in Advanced SQL programming and Performance Tuning
Experience with CI/CD using Github Actions or Jenkins
Proficiency in SQL development and database administration
Experience working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed
Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies
Strong strategic thinking, analytics skills and business acumen
Sees the big picture and is fully aware of technology and business directions
Optimizes the use of all available resources
Effectively manage competing priorities and promote agile delivery

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $140,000.00-161,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY.
