Job Description

The photo studio tech is responsible for supporting all photo studio and lab shoots across all Dotdash *** brands. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting all photo studio projects, from getting Equipment lists ready for clients and our Lab staff photographers, helping with lighting set-up and set strikes; equipment management and maintenance; prop room and kitchen studio maintenance; working closely with our head of studio and equipment.

This role is required to be onsite.

About your contributions:

Support all photo studio and lab shoots taking place.
Maintain physical presence in the EQ room.
Keep the EQ room organized.
Maintain all Studio kitchens neat and organized.
Support Staff photographers when needed and available.
Keep track of equipment coming in and out of the Eq room.
Be able to troubleshoot any issues with any of our computers and photo gear.
Create Equipment lists for all photo studio shoots.
Be able to cover productions after our hours of operation.

About you:

1 to 2 years of experience in a photo studio and/or studio environment.
Proficient in all modern camera systems (specifically canon) & lighting equipment.
Proficient in Adobe suite, CaptureOne and Google Suite.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work across teams with a positive, solutions oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently in a fast paced, iterative, deadline driven environment.
Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift upwards of 50 lbs.

Pay Range
Hourly: $24.00 - $31.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. The *** owned station W *** in New York City, has an opening for a collaborative anchor/reporter who is responsible for taking ownership of, and working with producers and reporters/colleagues to craft high impact content on linear and digital platforms. The candidate also sets the tone for teamwork and excellence within the station and across the station group. The anchor/reporter is an empathetic and ethical news leader who is committed to uncovering and reporting the facts, and with integrity above all else.

They must be a team player, compelling journalist, and inclusive storyteller with the ability to authentically engage and connect with a diverse audience. Additionally, the anchor/reporter must demonstrate a full understanding of the powerful voice and responsibility journalists have to, and with, the communities they serve.

This is a full-time staff position. The position is covered under the SAG-AFTRA- W *** -TV Collective Bargaining Agreement.

This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:

Exceptional reporting, writing and interviewing skills
Ability to source and generate impactful enterprise leads, and create impactful content relying on critical relationships with local newsmakers
Be tenacious in their ability to uncover stories through investigation and research
Subject matter expertise in telling high-impact stories in breaking news coverage, and the ability to demonstrate this from the anchor desk and in the field
Ability to report, write, capture visual content, edit and produce stories for multiple platforms on deadline, such as owned and distributed digital and social platforms
Active use of social *** for promotion and news gathering
Demonstrated ability to move an audience *** ween linear and digital platforms
Willingness to lead and mentor
Demonstrate a strong commitment to the community, which includes representing the station and participating at various community events

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of 2 years of anchoring experience, and 5 years of reporting experience in a top 10 market

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred emphasis in journalism or a related field.

The hiring range for this position in New York is $200,000 to $250,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Salary: Union Scale Day Rate $515/Day for Anchor; $420/Day for In-House Reporter/AFTRA union

We are seeking a high-energy, solid news person for part-time anchoring and in-house reporting with strong writing skills and solid news judgement. Must be conversational and a creative storyteller who can develop major National and International stories and pursue newsmakers to enhance coverage of the Network's award-winning news brand. This anchor position involves holidays and both Saturday and Sunday shifts.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Anchor / In-House Reporter)

Anchoring six-minute network radio newscasts once an hour and one-minute bottom of the hour Network Updates.
When news wants, anchor one-minute to 90-second Special Reports as many as 3 times an hour.
Producing and recording news segments.
Gathering, writing, recording, editing and delivering news content inclusive of providing live coverage when breaking news occurs.
Interviewing newsmakers.
Writing scripts and ad-libbing material for stories under tight deadlines.
Development and research of potential news stories.
Making station appearances as required.
Working with sales and promotions departments to develop sponsored news packages.
Other duties as required by management.
This anchor position involves working weekends and overnight hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5+ years anchoring or reporting news for News broadcast. Radio experience is a plus. Must be computer literate and have excellent writing skills. Position requires proficiency in audio editing and packaging news sound and interviews. Position requires contemporary sound and excellent on-air delivery. Knowledge of the broadcast area and station demographics is essential; 4 year degree in journalism preferred. Ability to work weekends and overnights.

Hiring Salary Range: $52.50 - 64.38.
