Major NYC area music festival video team needs DIT on set during music festival days to ingest and help organize footage. Upwards to 9 cameras, the role is to work with head editor and assistant editors.

We are seeking an organized and proactive Assistant Director for an exciting upcoming shoot in with a major beverage brand in New York City. This project involves following a fleet of trucks around Manhattan and coordinating multiple camera setups, including drone footage, mobile cameras, and strategically placed shooters. The shoot will also include capturing footage at a large event in Brooklyn.

We'll handle the scheduling, call sheets, etc-- but do ask that you're available for a pre-production call with the full team (likely on Thursday 5/30), and for a call (likely on Friday 5/31) with just the producer / director / DP.

Responsibilities:

-Assist the team in planning and executing the shoot
-Ensure all teams are in sync, on time, and capturing the necessary footage.
-Facilitate communication between the director, camera operators, and other crew members.
-Help set up and capture footage at a large event in Brooklyn.
-Ensure all equipment and team members are prepared and in position on schedule.
-Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the shoot.

Requirements:

-Proven experience as an Assistant Director in video production.
-Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
-Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
-Experience coordinating complex shoots with multiple camera setups.
-Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

We encourage a hybrid structure, coordinating on-site days at our office in Brooklyn for team collaboration.

Technical Skills:
-Must have experience with an editing program. Avid experience is a plus.

A small yet busy doc film production company based in the Brooklyn Heights area of Brooklyn is looking for a hard working, organized, and eager assistant to a busy Director and Producer.

The main role will be as executive assistant to the Director and Producer - assisting with email correspondence, scheduling, booking travel, drafting travel itineraries and daily schedules for the director, expense reconciliation with the accountant, and general office management duties.

Additional responsibilities are of a more personal nature for the Director and include: Dinner reservations, weekend planning, scheduling repairs or cleanings at residence, social media monitoring, and occasional errands.

It is important to me to elevate women and non-binary people in filmmaking. As a result, I will have an all female/non-binary crew, with a particular emphasis on people of color.

While I have a very small budget, it is important to me that I pay everyone on my crew. Pay rate is negotiable and am open and flexible to talking about it!

The two days will both be overnights. We will start on the evening of June 10th till the morning of June 11th, and then shoot the evening of June 11th till the morning of June 12th. I will ensure that there is at least a 12 hour gap between the shooting for rest, and transportation will be covered.

Looking for some PAs to help us out a two day shoot in the Syracuse area.

Duties include: helping load / unload equipment, maintaining the crafty table, helping our PM with lunch, trash sweeps, lock ups, standing in and any misc. runs or tasks that may come up on the day of the shoot.

Two consecutive days, dates are currently tentative and may shift back by a week or so.

If you use your personal vehicle for runs, you will be reimbursed mileage at the IRS rate of 67 cents per mile.
