Your New Role...
*** Discovery (WBD) is searching for a Manager, Employee Connection, EMEA to join the Global Business Services (GBS) People & Culture (P&C) Operations team. This role will be responsible for building and managing WBD's P&C Employee Connection team members based in Warsaw who support People & Culture (P&C) Services and (P&C) Partners in EMEA with position and employee data management, employee queries and other lifecycle events. This Manager role oversees day-to-day processes, recommends and builds processes as part of the continuous improvement journey, participates as a subject matter expert in meetings and on special projects around EC, and assists internal and external clients and P&C Partners with questions and concerns.

The Employee Connection teams are the primary data owners of employee data in Workday HCM. The team processes transactions for HR employee data such as position management, hires, rate changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, and data corrections in our Workday HCM or another local systems, audits and analyzes data to maintain data quality and ensure data accuracy. They are the system and process experts as it pertains to employee data and transactions for the markets they support. These teams also regularly interact with employees to support and address their P&C Services-related requests, with a customer-centric focus, delivering a best-in-class employee experience.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Oversee the day-to-day Employee Connection activities for the teams based in Warsaw.
Participates as a member of the global GBS P&C Ops management team and assist in setting goals, processes & procedures across the global teams (Hyderabad, India, Mexico City, Mexico, Warsaw, Poland, and the US among others).
Creates & drives individual team objectives & expectations that align with overall division and Company goals.
Act as primary support for various P&C teams in Europe across WBD and provide secondary support to UK, Latam, US and Asia Pacific regional teams.
Reviews, analyzes and audits data for completeness and accuracy. Run and distribute monthly reports & Ad/Hoc reports to divisional & P&C management as needed.
Ensures the team meets ser *** level agreements and is responsive to client needs.
Ensure processes achieve full compliance with policy and control environment including data privacy and SOX, responds to requests for audits and government inspections.
Mentor and provide guidance to team members related to work performance and opportunities to gain additional skills.
Host team meetings to ensure all team members are aligned with processes.
Coordinate with technology team to implement and/or research new ideas for system enhancements or troubleshoot system issues.
ake decisions/recommendations around system configuration of foundational HCM data, keeping in mind how any system changes impact the day-to-day activities of the team, including partnering with regional leads to understand regional process nuances.
Act as escalation to respond to requests for assistance and guidance on processes from internal and external peers and clients.
Manage team members who process Data Correction requests from field or because of internal audits. Work with P&C to identify issues and make corrections to employee data. Counsel P&C when correction may impact other employee data such as vacation accrual, pension, benefits, bonus etc.
Represent EMEA EC teams as subject matter expert in meetings and during large & small projects.
Assist with Change Management efforts as the result of process change, including the creation of process documentation.
Complete Performance reviews for direct reports to include feedback on performance objectives and expectations.
Partner with upper management across the organization on various projects, initiatives and on day-to-day support/escalations.
Help team plan & prioritize duties & project support work.
Find opportunities for process improvement/efficiencies and implement as appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience...

Minimum 5 years Human Resources administrative or related experience required, preferably with supervisory responsibilities from a global shared services environment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use confidential information appropriately.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of work experience required.
Language Requirements: Must be fluent in English and Polish, fluency in other European languages strongly preferred, namely French, German, Spanish, Italian or Dutch (others a plus, but not preferred).
Technical Skills: Experience with Workday HR/payroll or other SaaS payroll tools preferred (SAP or PeopleSoft), including EIB data loads. Experience with case management tools such as Ser *** now preferred. Strong skills required with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Relationship Management: Strong relationship skills. Experienced in building and maintaining effective collaborations. Recognized for reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
Process Management: Skilled in process improvements and problem solving, taking initiative to own work projects/tasks. Ability to manage ad hoc high-volume activities in a fast-paced environment independently.
Organizational Skills: Excellent planning, time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills. Has strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Project manage the linear and digital sweepstakes, promotions and branded partnerships for the syndicated and Primetime formats of the show. This entails working closely with EDM, partners digital creative and other cross-functional teams for the execution of marketing campaigns, digital buys, and tentpole events. Includes joint promotion agreements, pitches and cross-channel deliverables proposals and decks.

Collaborate with the team on upcoming and ongoing brand integrations and proposals, marketing initiatives andoverall marketing strategy and planning that aligns with business objectives.

7-10 Years: Required Turn-key projects experience, specifically within the entertainment/theme park industry.
10-15 Years: Required relevant design and construction/project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hand and Computer drawing, and drafting skills required. Experience with AUTOCAD, Revit, or similar program required. Knowledge of Sketch Up, or, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator preferred.
Deep knowledge of local building codes and plan check, permitting and inspection processes are preferred.
Knowledge of construction costs is preferred
Ability to create and track schedules preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description

The Manager Ride and Show is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and expediting the design and development of show equipment, and/or show action equipment, components and systems under contract with vendor(s)

This role may require frequent travel to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Responsibilities

Responsible for scope development, bid & award, monitoring, and progress of design fabrication and installation and testing, by vendor for each show element. Reviews and evaluates activities of vendor and its sub-contractors on an ongoing basis with regard to product quality and compliance to specifications to ensure technical integrity and creative intent is met
Provides oversight, field coordination, and direction for the installation of all show systems, equipment, and components as designated by Project Management Team. Primary Responsibility is Show Sets and Props. Other equipment may include, but not limited to, Show Action Equipment (SAE), Show Special Effects (SFX), Animated Figures (AF), Lighting Systems, Audio Systems, and Control Systems
Manages the relevant show budget throughout design, fabrication and installation
Manages the schedule of a given contracted scope of work, through project completion, identifying risks & opportunities, forecasting and communicating schedule impacts of decisions.
Manages and coordinates Vendor preliminary and final facility interfaces of show systems, equipment, and components
Develop and/or manage detailed coordinated schedules for all work by vendor identifying and managing critical path and resource issues. Leads production status and schedules reviews ensuring coordination with Project Team and Facilities Team. Monitors all budgetary production expenses for assigned contracts for the attraction
Advises, coordinates, and is accountable to the Technical Director regarding the status and engineering quality of Show & Ride control systems including areas of risk or potential future risks.
Manages the design and fabrication change process to accurately document contractual changes.
Oversees mock-up, prototype, installations, test and adjustments of show systems.
Validates that the facility interface is installed per plan prior to Show Equipment installation.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Parks and Resorts policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
