The *** Signature Experiences Emerging Business Team champions new business development projects and growth initiatives that diversify the *** Experiences portfolio and deliver incremental revenue and operating income to the segment. One of the first new emerging businesses to launch is Storyliving by *** ™. The Growth Strategy and Planning team is currently focused on bringing this new business to life, pursuing new site development and other opportunities to drive incremental growth.
The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships will lead business development efforts dedicated to securing external partnerships that support product differentiation and recommend ancillary business initiatives to support future growth. The role requires ideation, research, i *** uence, negotiation, business model development and collaboration with key partners at all levels ensuring we increase commercial capabilities and integrate insights across multiple commercial opportunities.
You will report to the Director, Emerging Business Growth Strategy & Planning.
You will:
- Seek opportunities for new emerging businesses with current and potential corporate partnerships
- Enhance emerging business consumer product appeal, conversion, and satisfaction by securing external products and services
- Champion ancillary business opportunities complementing the core business from ideation to full justification and implementation plan
- Gain an understanding of new business financial commitments and develop multiple paths to deliver goals and drive incremental value in collaboration with key partners
- Cultivate close partnerships within Emerging Businesses and across the *** ecosystem including Global Development, *** Imagineering, CIMA, Corporate Alliances, Technology, Legal and Finance
- Anticipate business risks and opportunities, proactively crafting business plans to shift and substantiate planned revenue growth
- Analyze industry trends and contending offerings spurring product innovation and differentiation
- Balance a bias-for-action with thoughtful planning to ensure initiatives are commercially viable and drive the highest value
- Support integrated communications plan for local initiatives in partnership with Marketing and Sales teams
- Inspire, lead and develop direct report(s)
- Enhance the commercial sensibility of the organization and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, diversity, and innovation
You will have:
- At least 10 years of proven experience and functional knowledge in brand management, innovation, strategy, sales, promotions, or finance
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, with confirmed ability to lead direct reports and manage projects with cross-functional teams
- Desire to work in a new, lean, developing business that requires independent initiative and the ability to manage effectively within a flexible, dynamic, ambiguous environment
- Real estate industry knowledge, deal negotiation and/or business development experience
- Political savvy, relationship oriented, effective team builder, problem-solver, and creative problem solver
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, drive and complete tasks simultaneously and independently
- Ability to challenge the status quo while still building strategic alliances/relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Business insight working with P&L, annual operating plans, and interpreting & communicating data
- Effectiveness for strategic and critical thinking
- Focused thought process that leads to innovation and sensible risk-taking
- Experience running a large volume of complex work effectively and efficiently, prioritizing continually to ensure business results are achieved
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering, or other equivalent business degree
Preferred Education
- Master's degree
