*** News is looking to hire an expert live, multi-camera broadcast director for their award-winning *** Mornings program. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team leader with a strong creative sense. This person will work closely with the Executive Producer to develop and refine the look and feel of the morning broadcast.

The director will work with producers, graphic artists and technical build and execute the day's rundown. The ability to read into a segment, provide guidance on graphics as well as blocking each segment to add pacing and interest is a must. The director will attend editorial meetings and pitch ideas on how to complete segments beyond the morning hours the show is on the air. The person chosen will be seen as a full-fledged member of the senior editorial team.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal teams to determine all technical production requirements.
Attend post-production meetings as needed and complete post-production reports

Qualifications

Must have 5+ years of directing experience at cable or network level is preferred.
Knowledge of ELC automation a plus.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience with software, technology, and production equipment required to support all forms of video services.
Applicants should possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to devise solutions.
Strong attention to detail, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
