May participate in music meetings - may monitor format charts, trade journals and music sales figures to be as knowledgeable as possible about assigned format(s)

What you'll need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
6-12 months of music programming related experience at a satellite, traditional commercial, and/or college radio station
Strong interest in learning all aspects of music programming and a desire to grow into a Program Director position
Strong interest in music and pop culture
Good public speaking and presentation skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.

At *** , we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $18 to $22/hr. and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Develops and leads winning strategy for station content
Expert understanding of Facebook, Twitter, and other social *** platforms
Reviews copy and will correct errors in content, grammar, and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines
Use our Social *** and Website to build and reinforce brand recognition and drive viewers to television
Determines a story's emphasis, length, and format, and organizes material accordingly
Research and analyze background information related to news stories in order to be able to provide complete and accurate information
Gathers information about events through research, interviews, experience or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social or other functions
Pitches on-brand local and trending stories during morning meetings
Checks reference materials such as books, news files or public records to obtain relevant facts

Requirements & Skills :

Degree in journalism; daily newspaper or news site experience required; live, working web samples and/or print pages preferred

CSS, Flash and other relevant technology skills is a plus
Maintain positive work environment through active team participation and cooperation with co-workers in all departments
