Responsibilities:

Lead product design for the Growth, Commerce, and Identity team, overseeing the work of at least 1-2 other designers.
Partner with product and engineering to identify requirements, use cases, and user journeys.
Illustrate and communicate complex design solutions across uses cases by creating process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups.
Use data collected from research, user testing, and market analysis to create truly user-centered designs.
Collaborate with a design manager, product manager, and cross-team peers throughout the product development life cycle to iterate on and deliver a user experience that meets the highest quality bar.
Act as a quality control on the team and make sure documentations are in top shape before delivering to engineers and QAs.
Use a variety of metrics to analyze and continuously improve the user experience.
Mentor and provide design directions for senior, mid-level designers and associate designers.

Required Skills:

BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 7 years in Product Design at a technology company.
Minimum 1 year of experience leading other designers either as a project lead or people manager.
Passion for evolving the design practice; it's people, processes, and tools.
Consulting skills to help stakeholders & partners uncover project goals, constraints & dependencies; and then guide them to optimal solutions.

The hiring range for this position in New York is $142,600 to $191,100 per year and in Santa Monica is $136,100 to $182,400. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The SALT Tax Manager will be directly involved in all aspects of the US Domestic Indirect Tax process including, Sales and Use, Gross Receipts, Personal Property, Real Property, and Business License Taxes. This position will report to and partner with the Director of US Indirect Tax on tax technical analysis, audits, legislative initiatives, research, planning, and business support. Job Description

The ideal candidate for this position will be a hands-on accomplished systems engineer dedicated to helping our business win by supporting mission critical broadcast and IT systems, projects, and new initiatives, including implementation, upgrades and following industry best practices to ensure maximum uptime performance and stability. The candidate will focus on excellence, quality and enhancing our technology systems & infrastructure to support business goals.

Experience supporting major market/Network News operation.
Develop strong working relationships with department leaders and their teams including Production Operations, Engineering, IT, Creative Services, Sales, Traffic and News Operations groups to manage systems, documentation, follow best practices and implement new technologies & deliver projects on time & within budget.
Work with internal / external Technical Support teams to ensure timely resolution of customer requests and issues.
Provide advanced troubleshooting & support for systems, infrastructure, and applications, including root cause analysis.
Evaluate, test, and install upgrades to all platform operating systems, applications, and hardware; Install, commission, and configure new technology.
Risk Management: Assess all issues, adds, changes to mitigate potential system impact.
Test new technology and make recommendations to Management on needed resources, feasibility, budget, and timing requirements for inclusion in strategic plan.
Develop and maintain system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
Work with operations teams to ensure SOP's & documentation are written and up to date.
Produce work that is consistently professional, reliable and detail oriented.
Other duties as deemed necessary.

Salary range: $75,000-$90,000

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field/business experience.
Generally, requires 3+ years related experience.
24/7/365 operation.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in supporting large scale systems to support business needs.
Proficient with IT routers, switches, firewalls, and port management applications.
Proficient in A/V file transcoding, data archiving processes and video compression technologies & standards.
Hands on experience with support of non-linear edit systems such as Adobe Premiere, and FCP.
Experience with hardware virtualization.
Knowledge of *** workflow tools and production systems such as Vantage, Dalet, Ross Overdrive or similar.
Knowledge of distribution systems including RF, streaming and satellite.
Knowledge of newsgathering and communications systems.
Strong ability to read and generate system documentation (Lucid, ACAD).
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse audiences across different departments, ranging from non-technical clients to technical professionals and operations staff.
Knowledge of standard engineering processes such as change control and agile development concepts.
Desire to learn and develop new skills.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Must possess strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus
